Re: Let's talk about MIKE

Slight tangent:

And the given name of the most notable king of Romania? *drum roll* ...

Re: Above the convenience store: Scene Analysis

Interestingly, the couch used for the Hayward living room in the series appears above the convenience store, but NOT in the Hayward's living room in FWWM. ;-)

Yes - the Dual Spires episode is plenty fun. ;-) "...a little something to hold us over until Showtime [2016]."

Re: Who eats garmonbozia?

P.S. *Alternately, Judy may be the ultimate godhead/savior of this mythology. Possible precedents for such a character may be found in The Lady in the Radiator or the Blue Woman of the Ronnie Rocket script (other examples welcome!). P.P.S. It could be argued that Ronnie Rocket himself is the godhea...

Re: Favorite episodes (and directors) of Twin Peaks

P.S. Note that to-date we have only seen approximately 4.5 hours of Twin Peaks explicitly written by Frost or Frost & Lynch, and directed by Lynch (the Pilot and Episodes 2, 8 and 14). Just bask in the knowledge that we have 9 more hours of that caliber Peaks to look forward to!

Re: Favorite episodes (and directors) of Twin Peaks

Episode 14 and the Pilot are tops on my list. Followed by Lynch's other directorial contributions. Despite some of the plot elements involved, I really, really enjoy the feel of Stephen Gyllenhaal's Episode 27 - from the palpable tension of the opening scene to the exquisite montage at the end. The ...

Re: Who eats garmonbozia?

Terribly unorganized, random thoughts with no conclusions: The Eastern concept of Samsara seems to be at play here. Samsara is the repeating cycle of birth, life and death (reincarnation) as well as one's actions and consequences in the past, present, and future ("Is it future or is it past?&qu...

Re: Episode 29

From David Lynch's "Ronny* Rocket" script: GIRL I got idea, man...you take me for a walk ( she moves closer to the guy) under the sycamore trees (closer) the dark trees that blow, baby. In the dark trees I'll see you and you'll see me...I'll see you in the branches that blow in the breeze....

Re: Episode 29

Does anyone else hear a short sample of Laura's scream when Cooper hits his head in the mirror? To my ears, it sounds exactly as if there was a small bit cut from Laura's Doppelganger's scream in the Red Room and inserted into the moment the mirror breaks. Or am I just hearing my own things? I hear...

Re: Vedic/Hindu influence on FWWM

How did I not know the Ronnie Rocket script was out there in circulation until now?!?! Looks like I have some reading to do... There are two versions of the script kicking around; the earlier one, "Ronny Rocket" with a 'y', lacks the Blue Woman in the final scene, but does include this ex...

Re: Episode 2

So who's the "nevermind" guy behind the tree? Leo's bodyguard whose plot was later dropped and forgotten? Dr Jacoby following the man in the red corvette? I'm satisfied believing it was Jacoby. Though dressed more like Leland/BOB in Easter Park, it is known that Jacoby started tailing Leo...

It's Tammy Wynette Time, Darlin'

A playlist-in-progress (meant to be shuffled) suited for the Double R jukebox. I believe Norma and the other townies would approve. NOT an "inspired-by" mix of contemporary music; mostly classic country, pop, and jazz from the 40's through the 70's... http://open.spotify.com/user/okbob3/pl...
