Re: FWWM questions (probably asked before but what the hell)

I randomly thought of another idea. What if the "friend" looking for a job, who had an "argument with her" and who "could've been her sister" was going to turn out to be the Nurse at the end who steals the Ring from Annie in the hospital? That would be an interesting ti...

Does anybody know who played the Man Behind the Tree?

I've been rewatching the series on my blu-ray set, and I suddenly wondered if anybody knows the identity of the performer who they dressed in the trench coat and ski mask to play the man behind the tree in the forest at night during Bobby, Mike and Leo's drug deal in Episode 2? What's weird is, with...

Re: Let's talk about MIKE

While I sometimes enjoy reading that stuff, most of that is clearly just interpretation, and through an ultra-philosophical and psychological lens at that. It's an attempt to demystify Twin Peaks (or as you might say, male anxiety over 'non-rational' female myth or something). It's not how I like ap...

Re: Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces - analysis/thoughts etc

LMFAP = "Mike" I'm not so sure because in the script, we have: MAN FROM ANOTHER PLACE (subtitled) With chrome. Any everything will proceed cyclically. SECOND WOODSMAN (subtitled) Boneless. MIKE (subtitled) Yes, find the middle place. Bob begins to scream with anger. Why differentiate the ...

Let's talk about MIKE

Alright, it's time to talk about MIKE again. The more I think about him, the harder a time I seem to have trying to understand him after factoring in all the different things we learn about him. Sorry for the length, but I included every potential detail I could think of that would have bearing on e...

Re: FWWM questions (probably asked before but what the hell)

For instance, I thought that asking for a full description of the friend who was with her a few days before she died would be more important than a missing ring? Speaking of which, does anybody know anything more about that "friend" who was with her? There's another part in the script whe...

Re: My reading of the end of Fire Walk With Me

Just wanted to say I enjoyed reading that and think it's a fine take away. I definitely agree about the mythology side of things having both an existence of there own but affecting, manifested from and influencing in turn, the psychology of real people and such.

Re: The Buenos Aires/Convenience Store deleted scenes

After Jeffries mentions that he has found something, the Grandson is shown looking out from behind a mask made of clay... the Grandson is present at the meeting of evil forces (Bob and the Man From Another Place) even though he assists Laura Palmer and Donna Hayward throughout Twin Peaks. His goodn...

Re: The Buenos Aires/Convenience Store deleted scenes

Naturally, attempting to maintain the form of both the Grandson and Phillip Jeffries in two separate dimensions is somewhat traumatic as Phillip's harrowing scream demonstrates near the end ofthe scene when the Lodge encompasses him once more. Phillip's establishment of the non-temporal bubble arou...

Re: Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces - analysis/thoughts etc

Was I the only one surprised and maybe a little disappointed that a lot of the dialogue for the Convenience Store scene in the shooting script looks like it wasn't actually shot on film, since it's not part of the scene seen in the Missing Pieces on the blu-ray? Don't get me wrong I loved what we di...

Re: The Buenos Aires/Convenience Store deleted scenes

Laura's face (when she's under the fan) is superimposed with the image of the ring on the table inside the Red Room after Bob and the Dwarf first enter the Lodge in the missing pieces... she is connected with the Red Room the moment Mike and The Arm first enter it. There are paralells between Laura...

Re: The Buenos Aires/Convenience Store deleted scenes

an artistic expression (of Mythopoeic thought?) pertaining to a narrative of incest which bleeds through the nature of reality as expressed by a painter/filmmaker. But the Convenience Store is never specifically connected with Laura's story of incest and murder. It originates from the tacked on end...

Re: How was Leland wounded?

Just wanted to add that, being that it is Leland's blood and we know from the series he used his own blood to write the "Fire walk with me" scrap, and we know from the film that BOB's initial goal in the train car was some kind of ritual to possess Laura Palmer, then could it be part of th...

Re: My Bob Engels Interview: 50's Black Lodge Backstory & Mo

I think in the original, original draft, there was this whole thing from 1954. I’d have to go look it up to be sure, but there was this whole thing that took place, the inauguration night of [President] Eisenhower. There were insects on this kitchen table, and somehow the Garmonbozia was there (chu...

The Buenos Aires/Convenience Store deleted scenes

Hey all, it's my first post here, but I've been a reader of these forums for awhile. I find Twin Peaks incredibly fascinating and one of the most unique and compelling mythologies I've ever seen. Since I got my pre-ordered blu-ray set of the entire series and film, my mind has been filled with Peaks...
