Re: "The Prisoner" connections with DougieCoop (Prisoner spoilers)
Just started a The Prisoner-topic in the general discussion forum. Anyway, I do think the premise of both identity thefts are different. The Prisoner is not about loss or lack of identity, it's about conformity, lack of individuality. The schizoid man is meant to make him disoriented, making his ind...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)
Well, about the narrative. I happened to read James Joyce's Ulysses a couple of months ago (Well, it took me from september until february to be honest). I'm not going to say Lynch intended or was inspired by this complex novel, but I'm starting to think that I don't find the episodes, pace or scene...

Tim Roth has yet to appear. Any thoughts on his character?

The Prisoner
I did see The Prisoner (1967 series) mentioned in the "What to watch while waiting for Twin Peaks"-topic but didn't find a topic to discuss the series itself. It's definitely one of my favourite series. People often say that Twin Peaks opened up possibilities for series and storytelling, b...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Seen it and read the topic - First time I found some of the Dougie parts a bit annoying. THough had to laugh out loud with "Jade gave two rides". The case files revisions could have been half the duration. - Loved the Red/Richard-scene. I do assume we see things through Richard's eyes, but...

Anyone any idea about who Amy Shiels could be playing? Undercover FBI-agent?

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
So Mr. C convinces Audrey he is the good Coop and they have two children together, Richard and Linda? Well, Richard Horne and Linda X link seems "logic". Instead of Sonny Jim, Linda might be the daughter of Good Coop and Richard the son of Bad Coop? The idea kind of reminds me of Carnival...

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
This was something, with the second half bringing more to the table than the first half (actually, that was probably the case with part 4 as well). - Not to keen on Doris Truman - Liked the new characters that got introduced in TP and Vegas. Especially Knepper & Belushi. I think we'll see them i...

Re: Tamara Preston - Chrysta Bell - Horrible Acting (Spoilers)
That's right. It is as Lynch intended. I don't like the "woody" acting, the character is not that likable so far. I would have preferred it if she was played by Watts or Dern, and more of a strong agent. Hope things get better.

I don't know. Might be that the cabin in space is inside the glass box, however, the banging continues after the attack (When Nairo is gone and "American girl" is warning him for her mother.

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
That certainly is quite something. Might be a coincidence, but the throat slashing gestures combined with the actual throat slashing by the thing in the box is eerie.MoondogJR wrote:I haven't seen this being posted here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-BDU-T ... e=youtu.be

Re: Expectation setting by fans in the modern cyber arena
I agree with you. Though a big part of loving a show is not based on rationality, but on emotional connection, a click with the material that has been offered. People connect with a show (or a band for that matter) and associate it with elements of their own life. When it has such a huge importance ...

Re: Wally Brando Appreciation Society (SPOILERS)
The journalists who are raving about Wally are saying it shows how wonderfully weird Twin Peaks and David Lynch are. But the Lewis and Clark bit makes me think it's perhaps more of a Frost one, no?

Re: Wally Brando Appreciation Society (SPOILERS)
I loved Wally Brando-scene. Such a pompous display. The admiration of both Andy and Lucy and the contrast with Truman's scepticism is great as well.
