The first two seasons are excellent. The third is a little disappointing. Proper old school gothic horror. Depends whether you like that kind of thing or not.

The return of February 24

I have no idea whether the world wants it or not, but I'm reviving my Peaks newsletter/zine, February 24, for a few issues. We'll see what the response is like before committing to anything long term.

Thanks!

Re: Wrapped in Plastic - online archive?

I did a quick search but couldn't find any mention of the fact that Craig Miller, co-editor and publisher if WiP passed last week. Although I had next to no contact with him once WiP called it a day, during the 13 years of its publication he was always kind, generous and even gave me some space with...

Thomas Truax: Songs from the films of David Lynch

I did a quick search and couldn't see a thread yet. (2009) Digipak CD album. 10 seductive Truaxifications of Lynchian classics. "Truly unsettling and perplexingly brilliant... testament to both the quality of Lynch's soundtracks and Truax's talents" - The Skinny 01 Wicked Game 02 Twin Peak...

Re: Character vs. Character Development

Given what we know of Leo and Shelley's relationship, the 'sensitive' quotes from Leo should be viewed as being part of his twisted personality - not as indicative of another side of him. He thinks he loves Shelley but he beats her and controls her. Abusive partners often couch their actions in 'lov...

Re: The Train Car. Destroyed.

Here are the photos with the contemporary descriptions (from 1993): train_0001. "Someone said this was the green murder car. You can still see the green paint. How sad to see such a piece of our history destroyed." train_0002. "The cars are being demolished. I was told that this is th...

Re: The Train Car. Destroyed.

Update: I've found the photos. They were taken in the summer of 1993. I'll post the train car photos here but am still undecided as what to do with the rest.

Re: Pre-Order the New David Lynch DVD Box - the Lime Green Set

Sometimes you wonder how the minds of those in the business work. This is a set likely to appeal only to David Lynch fans. These fans will almost certainly have the bulk of the material in this set. Therefore, you would have to be a really, really committed fan to double (or triple) dip to get the e...

Re: On The Air

I am currently in the process of transferring my original 'off the air' (can you see what I did there?) videotapes to DVD. Considering their age, they're in pretty good shape. I have a bunch of what I imagine are pretty rare Lynch-related documentaries, features, etc. from back in the day too. It's ...

Re: The Train Car. Destroyed.

Back in the early 1990s, I had an American penpal who visited the TP shooting sites - I really can't remember when she went but it was not long after the show's demise (I still have the correspondence in storage). Anyhow, during her visit she got me photos of what was described to her at the time as...

Re: What did you see first, The movie or the series?

I can't be 100% on this, but I think the extended Euro cut of the pilot was available to rent over here before the TV show even aired Stateside. Either way, that was the first thing I saw.

After some digging, I found the box containing the unsold copies of FEBRUARY 24 and WHERE ANGELS PLAY - the British Peaks/Lynch fanzines. http://i32.tinypic.com/219zcht.jpg I'm now offering these up for anyone interested. FEBRUARY 24 #14 - April/May 96 - features on "My Life, My Tapes", &q...
