It was shit, really. The question is whether this was just an aberration or if Lynch and Frost will be able to shovel their way out of the shit. My fear, though, is that the pace and plotlines of this show are set.Twink Peaks wrote:last episode was garbage

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I'm disappointed in so many things with this show, but the intro is at the bottom of the list. I think the shot of that same old Laura photo is cheesy. I also don't like the emphasis on the Black Lodge. That should be something that's hidden, mysterious, not shoved in your face every episode. I agre...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Just watched this part last night and wow . . . that was truly dreadful. Still in shock over how awful it was. I was initially resistant to the show, but rewatches have made me more positive . . . as long as the show gets moving. This part has made me fear nothing good is coming. Very worried.

Re: New Merchandise Roundup (Officially Licensed)
I believe those four action figures released are available individually, correct? Are they packaged in the retro ReAction packaging individually? I can't find photos of that.

Re: The Ben & Jerry scene (SPOILERS)
I thought it was a bit stiff and lacked energy, mainly due to it being in suffocating silence. Beymer staying seated at the desk when he was constantly shifting and walking around in the original series didn't help.

Re: Phyllis Hastings (SPOILERS)
It's just a dramatic effect, and as usual, people read too much into it. I do think though, that the "followed human behavior" thing is interesting. It may indicate that the inhabiting spirits are aliens (perhaps from a creamed corn planet?).

Re: How many times have you rewatched? (SPOILERS)
I've watched the first four twice and 5 once, although I want to watch it again before the next. I'm in the heavily conflicted category as far as this series' quality, and re-watching them has allowed me to view it for what it is as opposed to the expectations I had. It's made me feel more positive,...

Re: Part 5 - Case files (SPOILERS)
On the topic of "what song is that?", what's the tune over the credits of Part 5? I assume it's one of the Johnny Jewel songs listed. It seems like Badalamenti is barely present. If it's not listed and named in the credits as Badalamenti (or him and Lynch), are we to assume nothing is Bada...

Re: Mistakes/Goofs
In the new series, Part 5, the credits misspell Amy Shiels name as "Amie".
The comma spacing in the standard "any reference to persons, living, or dead" (or however it's phrased) legal thing is inconsistent. Kind of clunky.

Re: POLL: Kyle MacLachlan is an Excellent Actor - TRUE or FALSE?
He's one of the underappreciated acting greats. It's a shame that his career immediately post-"Peaks" wasn't better, as he could have done more high-profile stuff than he did, if he even wanted to. He gets the most recognition for Cooper, but to me his best performance was in "Blue Ve...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
I don't think that another season is anything fans should be contemplating until this one is over. This might be an ideal wrap-up. If any other episodes are produced, it would have to follow this same recipe with Lynch behind the camera for all of it; you can't go backward. I'm in the tremendously c...

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
Maybe I am in the minority, but I really enjoy the DougieCoop/DroolCoop stuff. I think Lynch/Frost have effectively stripped away all of what we though was Coop, and left behind nothing but his most primal, childlike essence. That's a good way of looking at it, but it's your own way. At the moment ...

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
I'm really hoping this is the case! However given some stuff that people saw being filmed I don't think this is the case. Well, it needs to progress somewhat and the character needs to be used in a different way. It seemed like that was going to be the case with the law firm thing, but we didn't ge...

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
Damn, Amy Shiels looks almost indistinguishable from Ashley Johnson in this episode.
