Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

There are many claims in the dissapointed thread about eventual rewatches (not everyone there of course). If you are feeling that the show has been aweful, I invite anyone to try and sit though 18 episodes of a typical TV show, say Dexter, and have the motivation to post a single comment about it, ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

Ah, an excellent, well-thought out response to a post that says literally nothing about Lynch but rather discusses art and engagement with the audience. You have a lot to contribute. I'm sure the mere thought of Lynch and his new "Twin Peaks" and whatever was/is happening with its recepti...

Has this been commented on yet? What happens to Mr. C in the giant's cage? I have a guess, but I don't think it is right. (I lightened the second picture up a little.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

I've been stunned by the the Profoundly Disappointed thread - so hard to see what the dislike is all about. It's not, really. All you have to do is read. There are many claims in the dissapointed thread about eventual rewatches (not everyone there of course). If you are feeling that the show has be...

Re: Philip Jeffries learned the horrific truth about Twin Peaks before we, the viewers did...

Not for nothin', but everyone calling Philip a teapot is a little funny to me. He obviously is or is inside the white light oval and is being sustained by and or communicates with the teapot. In 17 Dale and Mike are talking to the light oval, not the teapot.

Re: Poll: Would you like to see a 4th season happen? (SPOILERS PERMITTED)

There's no way in hell that Showtime or any other network is going to shell out any more money for more Twin Peaks after the dismal ratings and subscriptions . Frankly after seeing The Return I don't care to see anymore. Say what? http://www.marketwatch.com/story/cbs-earnings-boosted-by-twin-peaks-...

Re: FINAL POLL!!!!!!! Your Reaction to The Return as a Complete Work

And the Bob orb battle was so stupid that I can see no other word to use instead... even though the episode was generally gripping and strong. The Killer Bob Ball Battle is the key to the whole of The Return. The Dreamer is that six year old kid who shot up the RR, he is Freddy in the dream and bea...

Re: The deceased dugpa spoiler thread's partial mirror

I thiought this was interesting: UnderTheSycamores: [Oct 07] Well I went over to the Palmer house and they are indeed in full shooting mode there today, all the cast, crew, and equipment trailers are lining a side street and I spotted a tent right in front of the house. Couldn’t get close as they ha...

Re: FINAL POLL!!!!!!! Your Reaction to The Return as a Complete Work

Where are the clichés? I didn't notice any. Where was the fan service? I didn't see any. Where was the originality? In every blinking moment! From someone who is pained by conventional plotting and storytelling, I bow down to this creation. I know the source, I know the pedigree, I trust appreciatio...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)

Part 18 was a masterpiece. Part 17 was nice except for the Fantastic Four remake. I was afraid of Freddy's "destiny," but now I need not fear the inevitable, I can fast forward through it. :D Good job Freddy! James was also awesome the way he held those shoulders. (Actually, I am in awe, a...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)

I love all these comments. “That was excruciating.” “ That was the worst episode of TV ever. “ There is no question in my mind that that was one of the most riveting hours of TV I have seen., and I’ve seen plenty. The only thing that would have disappointed me would have been “plot development” and ...

My wife could not watch that scene because it was so disconcerting. (She kept wanting me to turn down the volume as if that would help, lol). Yet you think it was ludicrous? It's a wide world of wonder, that's for sure.

I'm old enough to appreciate the thing for what it is and not look for something that isn't there. Episode 18 reminded me of episode 29. I was almost drolling.
