Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)

And that's the whole interesting potential point about Richard Horne not being Cooper's. Isn't he in some way? Same DNA. The superhero stuff and Cooper wanting to save Laura is just him trading delusions now that he realizes all these disassociated personas he's conjured are all a part of him. Yes ...

Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)

Ugh, that’s why the finale was such a letdown to me on so many levels. 16 provided such a thrilling anticipation, and earned. But by the end, no ramifications are explored, no real human dynamic. We have rape, molestation, suffering from so many characters. Purgatory in some way for most of them. B...

Re: Part 11 - There's fire where you are going (SPOILERS)

Do we know what the Log Lady is referring to with where the fire is? The White Lodge/Jack Rabbit's Palace? That wouldn't make sense though because that's apparently a zone of "good"... perhaps the scene from earlier in the season when Hawk sniffs around Glastonbury Grove is out of sequence?

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)

There’s still something a little odd about Albert acting as the straight-faced mouthpiece for all this mythological mumbo jumbo. I know, people have justified it by saying every supernatural investigation team needs a Dana Scully. But he doesn’t come across as a Scully in S3 — in the original show,...

Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)

I just rewatched part 12 for the first time since the finale and wanted to revisit Audrey's situation. Are most people in agreement that she's in some Lodge-created hell, not a coma or something else? In between the electricity sound in part 16, the backwards playing band, the parallels to Carrie Pa...

Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)

have her character literally trapped in limbo, broken and whining, away from all the other characters instead, does not in theory sound like any kind of improvement I dunno, to me that's why it was confounding and fascinating and frustrating and great. Like, what the hell? Everyone was talking abou...

Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)

Not sure I buy the meta-commentary bit. My read on the Audrey arc was more a tribute than anything; the dancing scene was more iconic than the original, in my opinion. And the mirror shot was a mic drop of a closing scene for me, even if there was no resolution in the end.

Re: Poll: Were Gordon and Tammy initimates (if ya know what I mean)?

I reckon Tammy had a bit of a crush on Gordon... and he probably would have. But I don't think anything really happened. They were definitely close. What about that scene where the two of them are observing Albert and Constance and Gordon touches her on the small of the back. It gave me the feeling...

Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)

It seems that Sherilyn Fenn was a bit too much the nose into the scripts in the past and for the new season, asking for modifications, complaining publicly, ponting fingers to other actresses... Some strong temper it seems. Is it possible that Lynch/Frost were moking Sherilyn herself, in season 3 ?...

Re: Part 5 - Case files (SPOILERS)

I just rewatched this episode and need help. 1. Why was Briggs' prints found 16 times ("where this time?")? Did he physically teleport a lot while in the Lodge? 2. The Laura/Fireman creation music plays while Dougie is crying at Sonny Jim. It played when Coop says goodbye to them in part 1...

Re: Parts 1 & 2 - My log has a message for you & The stars turn and a time presents itself (SPOILERS)

Started rewatch tonight with Part 1. (This will probably take awhile, work is very busy as are my weekends.) I'd love it if the mods would clarify whether or not future Part spoilers are game in these threads, so we can analyze how earlier Parts relate to what comes. It's great to have the spoiler ...

Re: The visual aesthetic of the new Twin Peaks

Nearly all the colours of Diane's outfit/style/nail polish pop up over and over all season long in every storyline and setting. Lots of baby blue, teal, red, that raspberry colour. That's just one example, but yeah, lots of visual unity going on here.

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey

I don't think she was ever sidelined in season two... if anything was given too much screen time in a rather pedestrian storyline in order to provide time for her as a major fan favorite. But regardless. Ah, sorry, that's what I meant. That she was intended to have a more central/romantic role with...

I voted Grace, but I think everyone on that list deserves credit. Generally speaking, I thought this was a very well acted show.

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey

Hi all, wanted to slide back into this thread with some thoughts that have been marinating for the past couple weeks. First, cheers to SF for a great performance. Second, the more I think about it, the more I loved Audrey's season 3 arc. I liked it before, but I like it even more the more I contextu...
