Re: L.B.
Early after the release, people were guessing things like "Little Boy", "Lord Buddha", the "L.B." in "L.B. Mayer", etc. etc. and eventually the list got so big that it was clear that it could mean anything. How was anyone going to know which one was the magic ...

Re: Scene 35
Fred's TV is all black, while LG's is silver with black framing the screen. Totally different models. I'll post the scenes again pretty soon with corrections. I just want to identify the scenes so the new list will be trimmed of some of these ornaments. But on a more positive note, Adam's car looks...

Re: L.B.
MichaelPW: I don't see what you are saying. Of course it is no coincidence; it's part of the movie. What are you thinking about it?

Re: Scene 35
they rehearsing in a very serious way (like they should), so there's the impression that they are talking as nikki and devon. she asks him if those things he said were the truth. The previous day he said that there was no way he would do anything with her. (but he actually did) the dialogue is very...

Re: Scene 35
when they start reading the script they seem as they are actually talking about what happened the previous day on the tv show. and when sue says "oh shit Billy, look into the other room" it's like they are referring to what is going to happen. Jina: Can you say more about this? I'm not fo...

I don't know. I don't think we see what comes next from there.Carl wrote:What is it that Sue invites Billy to see in the next room, during the scene they are rehearsing? A gun? Is she trying to warn him off?

Re: Scene 35
Although I understand what you mean, I don't believe that the image we're looking at is really meant to be a brain. That said, I don't know what the heck it is. OK, whatever it is. I just called it a brain as a guess. No way is there rape involved in this scene. It is consensual, loveless sex. I do...

Re: L.B.
I don't think there can be an answer to that because there are so many answers. Every board has an LB thread. The letters do not look stamped to me but drawn, maybe with grease pencil or something like that. When she is talking to Mr. K. the letters are upside down from her point of view. When we se...

Re: Scene 35
I just wanted to go that far because that is what Kingsley says he wants them to go through, scene 35. So it seems that he is talking about the movie he himself is in because scene 35 is just as he described and so is the scene that Devon goes through just as he suggested. I've been curious about th...

Re: Scene 35
MicahaelPW: Most of the answers to your questions are just my sloppy writing. I wrote these as notes to myself and then didn't clear them up enough. Thank you very much for writing down these scenes, applesnoranges! Very interesting that we have "Dern" and "Devon" at Smithie`s ho...

Scene 35
I didn't see a Scene 35 thread here but this has been discussed and I didn't see where else to put this. This is just a rough run through so feel free to make changes, but this is how I counted scenes in IE up to that point. 1. spotlight on logo 2. record player/ brain 3. hotel hallway, what's wrong...

Re: North Carolina accent?
Jina: I didn't mean that what the producer said explained what Kingsley said. I just find it curious that he winds up his speech with "... and jeopardize Nikki's performance." Kingsley may have been talking about the curse to build a sense of drama around his project, but the producer seem...

Re: North Carolina accent?
'...so it turned out to be..' This is mildly ambiguous in English, the use of 'so' to mean either 'and' or 'thus', but I hear it as meaning 'It was said to be cursed. It is cursed.' Yes, I hear it somewhat like that, but Kingsley seems to be saying something that means more than one thing. When he ...

Re: North Carolina accent?
I have considered that , on some level, Kingsley , by telling them of the curse and earlier production, as well as Nikki 's powerful husband, by getting her the role in a production of which he knows the details and then by crudely warning Devon not to be tempted, are setting up such a suggestible ...

Re: North Carolina accent?
Immediately after the garden scene we have an inside scene without the opportunity of enjoying the lovely weather. Then I don't see why the line would be in the movie. If it is as you say, then every time a scene moved from outside to inside in any movie someone would say that. But that doesn't hap...
