Worst Price Info for the David Lynch Lime Green Box Set

For those who thought the original price for this set was steep, check out this Ebay auction. (I don't think it's even signed).

I guess it's a typing mistake, but since there was a "best price" thread i thought this would be kind of fun. sorry if it's just silly.

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion

I am still feeling confused about the commercial logics behind this release. I understand that the fans who have everything and need to buy it all again to get the unreleased material get upset and see Lynch as some greedy businessman, but as I see this: 1) Making the mystery disc and the IS#1 DVD c...

Wild at Heart French Blu-Ray

Sorry if something has already been posted about this. This is just to tell you: do not buy this. This Blu-Ray has been released for a month now, and it seems the transfer is pretty good. BUT it has forced French subtitles which, in this day and age, is just plain unacceptable. OK, I'm French and I ...

Re: Twin Peaks: FWWM - Audio, Video, and Subtitle Differences

Since both IFP and dugpa recall a theatrical version closer to the MK2 image, I am probably wrong, as I felt the New Line version was closer to the colours I saw in the theater. Since I've watched the Region 1 DVD more, and much more recently, than I've watched the film in theaters, it's very possib...

Re: Pre-Order the New David Lynch DVD Box - the Lime Green Set

Right, so I'm at that point where I really need to decide whether or not to order... So some stuff is going through my mind... 1) Does anyone know about the Industrial Symphony DVD? Is it just going to be the TV show that was broadcast "as is" (with the Laura Dern and Nicolas Cage intro) o...

Re: Friends from France, We Need Your Expertise - Hap's Diner

On the first viewing I always heard "La nuit est un bon moment" (Night(time) is a good time) so this interpretation probably "conditioned" my hearing each time I saw it again. I'll give it a very detailed listen and will get back to you. EDIT: after a dozen full-blown volume list...

Re: New David Lynch DVD Box - the Lime Green Set

While we're on the subject of FWWM and transfers, and as important as the sound -and playback speed- are, I am also shocked when I see such discrepancies in colour correction... I mean, a lot of Lynch's films have a tv calibration features, which shows that it's also important to him that the image ...

Re: New David Lynch DVD Box - the Lime Green Set

Thank God we're not in april..... can you imagine if dugpa was posting such mysterious and potentially extremely exciting news, having all of us on the edge of our seats and about to explode with anticipation.... and then... April fools! I, for one, am currently wondering if this box set, whatever e...

Re: Lara Flynn Boyle Blogs Twin Peaks

From DK (and many others who sent in the same question): Why weren't you in Fire Walk With Me? That's what everyone here really wants to know. Me: I was extremely busy at the time, and found it difficult to talk backwards with little people. We can only guess how demanding all those scenes where Do...

Re: L.B.

It's always been my understanding that the LB tatoo was Laura Dern's, not her character's (well, characters')

Being married to musician Ben Harper (who is seen playing piano in the final end credits "party" scene), L stands for Laura and B for Ben.

Re: Lara Flynn Boyle Blogs Twin Peaks

hmmm... I dunno, after reading the first post I saw like 5 posts out of 6 asking why she wasn't in FWWM, and then a 6th guy asking if she knew where his keys were, and today she replies to the keys guy... is it a way to tell us with a sense of humour that she just won't answer the other one or am I ...

Re: "Twin Peaks Fire Walk with Me" Blu-ray release

Dang... I was pretty sure I'd last some time without going the Blu-Ray road, because I am not that interested in the current catalogue, as compaired to the regular DVD one. It seemed wrong to me to have films that I just think are "OK" in the highest possible definition, while the films th...

Re: ABSURDA, a new short film by David Lynch.

I don't think this has been posted yet (if it has, sorry, I missed it), but a new French DVD edition for "Chacun son cinema" was released this very week (may 6, 2008, for those who'll read this post some time from now) as a 2 discs set (I think the version published like year -which is now...

Re: Lynch in Paris to launch "the big fish"

I shook David Lynch's hand!!! I am on a complete fanboy high right now. Actually I feel like a 15 years old girl who's hugged one of the Beatles... That fanboy high is not a good thing when you try to speak to the one filmmaker you admire most, though. When I started talking, I was so nervous the so...
