Re: Poll: Do You Understand Now Why S.F. was pissed about her role in The Return?
We don't really know why Fenn was holding out. She's unlikely to have seen a script much in advance - if at all - so it is more likely to have been about size of the role or money. Actor's scale rates are available online. I imagine her scenes could have been filmed in a day, and if so it's possible...

Re: Mark Frost's Contributions to TP:TR (Speculation)
If Frost does a book tour, someone should raise their hand and say "I have a question for Mark" and then just get up and leave. See how he likes it.

Re: So is there anyone else who prefers The Return to the original?
"He's always been cool" made me well up, as did a couple of other scenes but I can't use that as any kind of barometer. The line about James was a response to the fact that we were here, again after so many years. How wonderful! Little did I know at that point where we were actually going....

Didn't you hear, TR is a "parable about never being able to go home."

Wow.
There's a scene where a guy doesn't know how to urinate.

Re: Mark Frost's Contributions to TP:TR (Speculation)
I think the important thing to remember is that, for example, the actual script element of episode 8 could have been very brief. "Atomic explosion." Perhaps the script has the Woodsman delivering the poem once but Lynch decided to try for an extended, trance-like effect. That's an obvious ...

Re: Mark Frost's Contributions to TP:TR (Speculation)
Man, imagine having the opportunity to work on a well-loved TV show after 25 years and make it deliberately "anti-climactic". What a thrill that would be.

He might think he's Cooper, but clearly Linda thinks he's Richard - hence the note.
Side note - where is he going when he happens across Judy's? That's accidental / fateful but he was heading somewhere.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
The response to FWWM has often been discussed by those championing TR, but surely the obvious thing to take away from that episode is that FWWM was hated by the critics at the time but has been subsequently re-evaluated. Now TR has been lauded by critics so...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
The end is clearly an integral part of the project. It's not a studio-bound piece where Lynch could work on the fly. Lynch would not have pulled Sheryl in for this role without Frost being part of that conversation.

Ronette and American Girl
Although Phoebe A played 'American Girl' there's nothing in the plot that suggested she was actually Ronette. Now that Naido has been revealed as Diane does this change things at all? There is the suggestion that BadCoop must have killed the 'real' Diane or at least taken her to the Red Room (and by...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Time travel may not have been something Lynch has done before but Cooper - on some level - meets Laura in the woods. Maybe he only dreams of doing so, but he's dreaming of going back in time.

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
Cooper simply being on the next stage of his quest - how long do people think he has? It took 25 years for him to be allowed to take one step forward (and one step back).

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Were expectations too high? If Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John-Paul Jones got together as Led Zeppelin to record a new album, what are the chances it would equal (or even better) their 1970s albums? Pretty low I suspect. On what basis did we presume that Lynch and Frost would be equal to the task ...

Re: Who is Judy? (Spoilers)
So Cooper disappears and Cole doesn't mention an important piece of information to the only remaining member of Team Blue Rose? And what was the information Jeffries wanted from Albert that was mentioned in an earlier episode? Was Gordon doing "everything (he could)" to find Coop? Doesn't ...
