Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

So considering KM read the original script, I am now questioning why he did not know the scenes he was filming in October 2015 (with the dialogue he and Lee were saying) formed the conclusion to the series? KM admits to being left 'reeling' by the final episode, but actors who read a script for tha...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)

But Laura's remark can just as well mean she lives in a parallel universe which is not inconsistent with the finale. Relatively speaking there's far more indicating Cooper was fulfilling what the spirits needed him to and was on the right track than whichever version of Cooper being a moron and cau...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I think some people think Lynch went off script a lot when filming. Also scripts are always written to be too long for the final cut. Looks like Lynch not only added or changed things while filming but really did not do the normal fat trimming. this should have been a 13 ep run. when we watch peopl...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)

The whole rationale based on Cooper having a hero complex has one huge weak point. Cooper did barely anything heroic out of his own nature alone. He was always put on that path by either the people who wanted to be saved by him, the FBI when it comes to Laura's case or the entities from the surreal...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)

Any attempt to understand that dead end is almost like a way out, a comfort. That's one of the contradictions within the most satisfied public. Roughly people's satisfaction with the finale is proportional with the depth/understanding they give to it. Thing is in reality it had "because I can ...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)

It's also not in character. By the end of S2, Cooper wasn't exactly obsessed with Laura Palmer. He went into the Black Lodge to save Annie. I don't think the original Dale Cooper would have annihilated the space/time continuum to save Laura, especially given the fact that he "saw" her asc...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

If I had to sum up my very mixed views on The Return, i'd say it's less than the sum of its parts. I can appreciate the scenes in isolation, especially in the finale there were some really successful conveying of tension and uneasiness. But the lack of any decent context for those scenes to exist in...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)

As TAMARA said people have gotten physically ill after being near Bob Cooper, maybe that's how Sheriff Harry Truman is ill. Maybe he puked near Harry. Just a theory Possibly. I wonder whether Coop returning might heal Harry. Harry's 24-hour vigil in proximity to the open lodges might also have dimi...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)

Isn't "Jeffries" wanting bad Coop back in the black lodge and hiring hitmen to kill him mutually exclusive?

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)

I don't know how significant it is, but I just noticed another example. In the scene where Cooper re-appears from the electrical outlet, Jade calls him "Dougie" 6 times in less than 40 seconds. I think to some extent, this stuff is just a writers' trick to drill important character names ...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)

I think Hawk "inherited" what was originally Truman's storyline about the log's message and Coop. I'm intrigued about Jeffries' involvement. At a certain point in the conversation with bad Coop he sounds like Bowie but there's no clue in the credits. I'm really curious about where they're ...

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)

The card looks like some sort of a shade of a Joker's head. I wonder what meaning it has. A Joker drawn on a regular card is a paradox in a way.
I wonder if the number on the back of the socket means that there is a right and wrong one to travel through.
