Re: giallo soundtracks
I guess Ortolani's soundtrack to Cannibal Holocaust would fit into this category. Now there's an excellent soundtrack, and one that I suspect is only just starting to get the appreciation it deserves thanks to the rise in hauntological music, in particular on the Ghost Box and Trunk labels. Synths, ...

Re: TP Soundtracks reissued on vinyl??
Heh, so that's a "no" then John?
S'alright, I bought a copy years ago. Not that you're seeing any money from it as far as I can tell... No wonder DL started his own label.

Re: FALLING demo
Funnily enough I've just bought a copy of this off eBay; when it arrives I'll see if I can improve on the crackly MP3 up there. It is rather lovely, isn't it? Fingers crossed you get a scratch free copy. Good news - it is scratch free. In fact, barring one click during the intro that I can easily f...

Re: Twin Peaks Tribute Album-There Was A Fish In The Percolator
Just to let you know, any hope of a repressing almost certainly went out of the window when V/Vm and V/Vm Test Records officially disbanded on New Years Day. Fans of Lynchian dystopian audio might be interested in a couple of forthcoming repressings of albums recorded under the name The Caretaker - ...

Re: Jennifer Lynch's Surveillance
Just seen it (went on general release in the UK today).............. Fuck me, I thought Fire Walk With Me was bleak, but that's got nothing on Surveillance in those terms. Gripping from start to finish, great acting, underage dicks in the audience laughing at the violence, sure, but still overwhelmi...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
1 and 4? That's weird... should play fine on Region 2 though. Is it just BV and IS1 that are region coded?

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
Can someone say if the set's Region 0 or not please? I know all the stores say Region 1, but they said that about Eraserhead and Short Films too, both of which are Region 0. Cheers.

They were both part of the Midnight Movie scene (El Topo was arguably the first MM ever, and was followed by Eraserhead) and IIRC DL's executive producer on his new film King Shot.Annie wrote:I was just curious since they included him with DL.

Re: Pre-Order the New David Lynch DVD Box - the Lime Green Set
Just a thought about the region coding - all of the dl.com DVDs (Eraserhead and Short Films certainly, not sure about Dumbland or Dynamic) are NTSC region 0, meaning they can be played on all NTSC compatible tellys. Would it be too hasty to suggest this box-set will be similarly region free?

Re: Favorite Horror Movie--Happy Halloween!
Hands down, Evil Dead 2. The perfect blend of horror and comedy that so many others have tried (and failed) to copy.
