Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

Wasn't sure if this has been posted already, but a really wonderful, very well-written and thoughtful (and absolutely spoiler-filled) review of the book on Medium.com clearly written by a hardcore TP fan: https://medium.com/@charlesevans/review-the-secret-history-of-twin-peaks-9b1ea73b71ad#.acp61co4...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

When I went to have my book signed I said to Mark, "I'd ask you how Annie is, but if Lana is now Miss Twin Peaks 1989, she can't be doing so great." Mark laughed and promised me that we would definitely get into that next year. I think that this is most certainly a clear hint he is droppin...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

Just finished the book last night. What does everyone think is the significance of substituting "I" for "1" throughout? I really couldn't figure it out, though it certainly seems of some significance given how consistently the Archivist/Briggs does it. On the whole, I really enjo...

mfleite wrote:Is Agent TP the Naomi Watts character?
I do not believe so. It sounds like Amy Shiels is the mostly likely candidate to be playing TP (but this is by no means confirmed).

Wasn't sure if this has been posted already, but GQ did a really good new interview with Frost about the novel: http://www.gq.com/story/25-years-later- ... twin-peaks

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

The new behind-the-scenes teaser just makes my heart sing. I absolutely cannot wait, and I feel so fortunate to be able to watch all of this new TP wonder unfold in real time 25 years later.

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

So, have we all given up on hoping for a teaser today or do some folks still think we might get something at the end of the Festival of Disruption? I can see it now. Julee Cruise joins Badalamenti on stage tonight to end the set with 'The World Spins'. As the song fades, the screen lights up and a ...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

The Festival of Disruption's final music event is The Music of Twin Peaks, and the final talk is by Kyle Maclachlan and Laura Dern (admittedly only following Blue Velvet Revisited). The only other event closing the show is The Photography of Chris Stein, but I imagine that it will just be a walk-in...

Re: Twin Peaks Poll - First Time

I was about 11 or 12 years old living in the DC area at the time and was a member of a local Doctor Who club (yep, nerd alert!) at the time. Doctor Who had just gone off the air indefinitely, and suddenly TP really seemed to quickly take its place in their hearts and minds, to the point where I reca...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

[quote="dugpa"]Gut tells me the 1991 murder is Annie Blackburn.

Good call. Heather Graham is not in the new series, so...one can't presume the answer to "How's Annie?" is a particularly good one...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

Yeah, honestly, even if this book was the ONLY new bit of TP we were getting, it would already be 1000% more new Twin Peaks than I ever dreamed I'd see in my lifetime, let alone somewhere between 9-18 brand new episodes. Honestly, this is all so much more than I ever expected, I'm just grateful at t...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

For what it's worth, I asked a relative who is an exec @ Flatiron, about the Vol. 1/2 business. It sounds like this book, The Secret History of Twin Peaks was originally envisioned as THE main tie-in book for the new series; it's the same book that was initially announced back in late 2014 (when it ...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

I hear you guys re: the continuity errors, but then I guess TP has always been SO incredibly chockful of them for whatever reason that I'm happy to let these roll off. I agree that the tattoos seems like an easy thing to get right, but then you've got weirdly great continuity like the fact that Doug...
