Re: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Blu-ray 12/5/17

I had forgotten to cancel my pre order for the Scandinavian release so i now have both that and the US. There are some differences between them with the EU box being much thicker, sturdier, a bit taller and shinier. They also open up slightly different.

Re: What's your favourite scene from The Return?

Sick Girl is way up there for me too. Not necessarily so much for that moment itself (although it’s a hilarious button on the scene), but for the sense of suburban anxiety and dread the whole horn-honking sequnce evokes. The foley and the lighting were outstanding. And it was just so damn cool, aft...

Re: What's your favourite scene from The Return?

White i feel that The Return wasnt Always perfect i Believe that had it been Whittled down more to its essence i feel it might just have been that. There are so many unbelieavable scenes that with a few exceptions easily rivals the best of S1 and S2. FWWM was always my favorite peaks and i truly Thi...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Ah ok so the argument is that Cooper released something damaging from the Black Lodge - on a cosmic level? I would tend to agree with that more than any of these definitive ideas about Mr C raping Audrey etc. I think it’s pretty obvious that Mr. C raped Audrey on a “literal” story level, although, ...

Re: Did Cooper really fail? Was Laura really supposed to die?

there have been some really good conversations and theories put forward in this thread, its lovely the way the show inspire us to dig deep into our own selves and put the pieces together as we see them fit. i have been thinking about why Cooper is "rescuing" Laura Palmer at the end. why is...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

As far as the songs, perhaps my main disappointment is that not one of them was created specifically for the show. It would have been nice to have had an original Badalamenti and/or Lynch composition, whoever performed it, or an original song from Lynch familiar Reznor. It just felt like a missed o...

Re: Did Cooper really fail? Was Laura really supposed to die?

Wait, wait... Andy moves the chair?!? Really? I totally missed it! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Yes! Moves the chair into position so Mr. C can sit down. Watch him do it. It's very interesting. Ok, you caused me to re-watch good portions of 17 and 18, which means my wife’s rolling her eyes and ...

Re: Cry for help: First supernatural event by Laura?

Fair enough, I just think it's kinda ludicrous to bring Carrie Page into it is all. Well, obviously I don’t meant that in 1989 Lynch had Carrie Page in his mind (who knows?!? ;) ). However some things might work retroactively. It is possible that he had the idea that Laura was special in a su...

Re: Is Audrey a tulpa?

for me the Audrey scenes almost completely seem to be outside of the "regular" narrative, and i don't think a Tulpa is the right word for her in my interpretation of her state. like "Inland Empire" had a few scenes that didn't at all seem to be connected with the narrative, the A...

Re: Making sense of the coordinates / Buckhorn subplot

another interesting point... it's not at all certain that Richard dies on that rock if we consider the huge amount of electricity running through him before he disappears (or does he dis-apparates like Philip Jeffries in FWWM?). consider that Jeffries did not only instruct Ray to kill Mister C if it...

Re: Making sense of the coordinates / Buckhorn subplot

I considered the question of coordinates after my recent rewatch of the series. There is no perfect answer as far as I can tell, but it is a very interesting puzzle. I wonder if we will get some more clues in future Twin Peaks books (I am pretty sure they will happen). I am leaning towards a hypoth...

Re: Extensive analysis of DL's Twin Peaks Georgia Coffee commercials...

i am also leaving this here as it features great direction by David Lynch and has a beautiful Angelo Badalamenti soundtrack and was done around the time of "FWWM" i think:

notice the 'Sinnerman' location from Inland Empire from 0:07

Extensive analysis of DL's Twin Peaks Georgia Coffee commercials...

A damn fine read which i believe is probably a paper from a university class in media and marketing:

always found those commercials pretty funny.
