How about constructive conversations about the faults of the actual content?

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

The vast majority of the people that post here loved the season - as you will see reflected in the polls here. The toxic negative environment is mainly created by 3-4 people that post the exact same rant almost daily in the "disappointed" thread and elsewhere. Once we learn to stop commen...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

People should feel free to share their thoughts, without any restriction, but I do not have the impression that the majority on this forum shows a genuine affection to TPS3, which limits the amount of contributions. So you want people to share their thoughts without restriction, but only if they sh...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

Excuse me, this is the Twin Peaks: The Return Profoundly Satisfied Support Group , thank you very much! Yeah I figured some one would end up calling me out on this. I was thinking maybe there should have been a thread specifically for the disappointed and satisfied exchanging views, but seem...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

From what I've seen on the BTS and interviews, neither Lynch or Frost has planned the frog to be Judy, or anything else. Nor have they figured out what the Jumping Man represents. And they haven't given a seconds thought about what Sarah being possessed means to the dynamics of the original series. ...

If someone punches me in the face, I don't care if they meant to do it to represent a symbolic issue. Bad writing is bad writing, even if the writers are aware that it's bad.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

Personally I had more problems with Nadine in the "old series" with that nonsense of having enormous physical powers than with the green glove guy. TV series, a feature, a movie, art? Why not all at the same time? The difference is, BOB was the main villain in the original series, and we'...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

What I was trying to say is, this season represents L/F’s vision of TP as of 2017, albeit imperfectly realized (as all artistic works are, to a greater or lesser degree). I don’t believe that a larger budget alone would have led to a version of the show that would have won any more converts. Maybe ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

This information about their resources being limited kinda makes me feel better about the show. I mean, it's crap, and they should have sized it down according to resources available, but still. The slowness, the filler scenes, the music videos, the editing mistakes, poorly constructed characters, p...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Just a random gripe, but did anyone else find Frank, and Forster's portrayal, totally useless? The character offers nothing whatsoever in any scene. I'm gonna go ahead and speculate that this is why Ontkean pulled out of the project. Most of what happens in Twin Peaks is completely irrelevant to th...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

And I also don't feel many arcs here, especially in the first half. If you're talking about literally placing one episode on top of the other and observing how they perform similarly, then that's interesting. I still don't notice that any of the episodes really build to anything, It was very poorly...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

I think the fact that you can create such good matches by placing episode footage to run simultaneously proves that it's a regular TV-show, and nothing more. TV-episodes are done to certain structure to create the arch for the episode, and since so many coincide, they're TV-show episodes.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

Somehow this feels like you are trying to destroy a picture in a frame with an empty wodka bottle. Doesn't this sound familiar? No, I pointed out that the name of the person living in the Palmer house isn't Alice Tremond. Which you failed to address. Not "failed to address" at all. We all...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

It's not our real life reality. The name of the person living in the Palmer house isn't Alice Tremond. This is something that we actually know because of what happens on screen. Somehow this feels like you are trying to destroy a picture in a frame with an empty wodka bottle. Doesn't this sound fam...

Is this something everybody else here agrees with? Like, is this the theory that has around 90% of viewers behind it, and maybe some confirmation from Lynch/Frost? Or is this just another fan theory, arrogantly presented as the absolute truth?
