Haha. Kind of weird/funny to think about Lynch and Richard Lewis being in the same room together.

Re: Sopranos thoughts (spoilers)
I love S6! I can certainly see how a lot of people may enjoy it less than the rest of the series; as Tony is 'beyond' redemption. His new perspective on life that happened in 6A clearly never had a chance, and he is now fully committed to his spiral into utter hopelessness - taking his family's emo...

Sopranos thoughts (spoilers)
Do posters here have any interesting thoughts or theories on the Sopranos? I've been a (sort of) fan of the the show since its original run, but tbh Season 6 always bugged and bored me. I did a re-watch of the whole series over the course of last year though, and I realized that S6 maybe has some in...

Re: Star Trek: Picard
I'm generally a Star Trek fan (love DS9/TNG, I like TOS + movies), but I've had some trouble getting into ST: Picard. I really can't quite put my finger on it -- I'm sure part of it is its break with the form and tone of TNG -- but around ep. 7 it hit a weird speed bump for me and I got disengaged. ...

Re: Would Twin Peaks be cancelled as quickly today? (Plus a note on Season 1 and 2 Ratings.)
Actually I watched the first episode of "American Gothic" the other day -- I feel like that's what an early 90s attempt to do Peaks w/o Lynch or Frost's involvement would look like. It has some of the trappings of Peaks (on paper anyway) but without the set design, the atmosphere, the quir...

Re: Would Twin Peaks be cancelled as quickly today? (Plus a note on Season 1 and 2 Ratings.)
I have a weird gut feeling that had the show lasted until 1993 it would've turned into a rural version of Melrose Place -- a bunch of beautiful people who struggle with the over the top events that befall them. I can't imagine Lynch being able to deal with the networks much after that finale, even i...

Re: Would Twin Peaks be cancelled as quickly today? (Plus a note on Season 1 and 2 Ratings.)
But yeah, I think it could have more seasons in todays media climate. Also tv seasons can just be 8 to 13 episodes now, which would work in TP's favor. They could maintain a Season 1 level of quality control over later seasons more easily... A sort of intangible quality to nail down would be the &qu...

I don't really know -- but Supernatural has been on for like 15 years and I've never met anyone that watches it.

I think I saw that was on Peacock (or one of the other streaming sites), might have to finally watch that.Jonah wrote:Nice. The poster also gave me Red Rock West vibes.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
Not sure if this is the right thread for this but I wasn't sure where else to post this and here seems to be more active than other parts of the forum. Lara Flynn Boyle seems to be putting in a decent performance in this upcoming movie (caution - trailer is somewhat spoiler heavy). It might not be ...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
I feel like Maria Bamford could work well in a Lynch piece, she simultaneously has bubbly Lucy energy mixed in with (un)healthy Sarah Palmer gloom. That would be amazing, and not out of the realm of possibility given Brett Gelman's role and John Ennis' brief cameo in S3, two faces that surprised me...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
So, Peaks or not aside (though I’m still hoping for S4, as I think Peak’s familiarity helps keep Lynch with one foot on the ground so to speak), who are your dream casts? Completely random, but I think J.B. Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm) spouting vague-yet-menacing Lynch dialogue through his tradema...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
Mixed feelings about the possibility of Lynch moving forward on Peaks without Frost. But I do have trouble seeing them doing a new season together -- I don't even think they have the same interpretation of how S3 ended (or should have ended). It's hard to see them picking up and continuing on someth...
