Re: LYNCH Art Exhibit-Book of Show SPAIN 1992

I've never seen The Air Is On Fire exhibition catalogue or on eBay. I mean I have the BIG YELLOW book but is this something different? Would love to buy one...even off eBay. I'll start looking.

LYNCH Art Exhibit-Book of Show SPAIN 1992

I recently discovered this DL Art Book from his show in Valencia, Spain from May to June 1992. There is a total of 161 pages with photos and paintings as well as an interview, some of which I have never seen before. Below is just a very small sample of what was inside. The interview spans 10 pages c...

Re: Dune on Blu-ray

I don't. It was on one of those cinephile Blu-Ray sites. Sorry I never remember the sites...for instance where the Steve Lukather info comes from, have no idea. I just gather it all like a sieve and then spill it out, little by little.

Re: Dune Song similar to Blue Velvet-Shostakovich influence?

I'm a bit surprised that David Lynch was able to make Blue Velvet (also produced by De Laurentiis) after Dune's commercial and critical failure, though I am glad, of course. I imagine David was in Director's jail after that movie and couldn't get another studio picture off the ground. But I suspect ...

Re: Steve Lukather (Toto) on Dune & David Lynch

It was this statement that led me to the conclusion: By his account, the film''and their music from the soundtrack''was compromised because Dino de Laurentiis, father to the film's producer, who owned the rights to the Dune book upon which the movie was based, took the film away from David Lynch bef...

Steve Lukather (Toto) on Dune & David Lynch

Don't know if this has been posted before, but it was a really interesting article and explained to me (to an extent) why David Lynch disowned Dune. Read on: TOTO'S DUNE TOTO GUITARIST AND VOCALIST Steve Lukather says he has a copy of the original screenplay of writer/director David Lynch's Blue Vel...

Re: Screening for students / Aussie accent?

Just watched Blue Velvet again recently. That so-called Australian accent from the "Yellow Man" that the OP mentioned is what we call a North Carolinian dialect, which makes sense since they filmed BV in Wilmington, NC and I believe he was a local actor at the time. How would I know... I s...
