well, you may also be right there but i have no concrete examples of 3 hour long films on one disc that i can check at the moment. much as i would hate the experience of changing discs for this film, i am a little concerned that audio will suffer (and boy, how i love the sound design on this film......

the interesting thing about this is that people are assuming the "More things that happened" section includes deleted scenes - whereas, it is being billed as "Talks with Laura Dern and David Lynch : ...etc" - so surely it will just be stories about the production resulting from i...

what a lovely inside story John, thanks... and the real revelation - to learn that you are friends with TOTO! i haven't seen Dune for ages, but despite its flaws and David's own lack of control over the film, i still feel it has some really strong moments. i was planning to rewatch it soon, a...

how honoured i am to be able to cast the first vote for Inland Empire! sure, it has its flaws, but stands a country mile ahead of the rest for me. never before have i known of a film that i could happily rewatch without exhausting it, except perhaps (off the top of my head) something like Jodorowsky...

The sounds on the CD aren't the ones from the exhibition. They do mention the interview taking place in Lynch's studio, but the placement of the sounds seems a little too deliberate to me, and coincide slightly too neatly with changes in emphasis and certain themes that are discussed. Perhaps Dave h...

Well, I just came back from a weekend trip to Paris, with the main motivation being the exhibition - to anyone who is within reasonable range, either by budget airline or otherwise : you really ought to make serious efforts to go before the 27th if you can! I'll be fairly surprised if it is reproduc...

Can anyone start seeding again soon please? I managed to get just under half of this in about 36 hours and now it's been stopped for ages... Would be much appreciated - I'm away to Paris early tomorrow and will leave mine seeding for anyone that needs it.

All very interesting, and veering way off-topic... IMHO, FWIW - much as we all love to tease apart the finer details and motives of Lynch's work, analyse it and search for answers, there certainly is a great deal of "overthinking" going on in a variety of discussions (not necessarily on he...

soundtrack

Hey John, I'm really glad to see you here, too. I can't believe you were treated like that. What a bunch of creeps! I'm surprised to hear that it's because of you (and what transpired) that there's no INLAND EMPIRE soundtrack. Any chance he'd change his mind? I visited your new (to me) website and ...
