Re: 2021 Thoughts on Season 3
Rosenfeld, not -field right? Don't know if that was a joke about re-writing. It’s “-field,” per the scripts, the books, and Albert’s own pronunciation when he introduces himself. The “-feld” misspelling I believe comes from the end credits of FWWM and has been periodically propagated by fans since,...

Re: 2021 Thoughts on Season 3
Don’t get me started on the Gordon Cole character. By the end, I was surprised there wasn’t a scene where a bunch of nubile actresses sat around in bra and panties debating exactly how large his penis is. That was definitely directorial indulgence. I personally enjoyed all of it, and liked the coun...

Re: 2021 Thoughts on Season 3
Why on earth do you re-write Big Ed's scene from episode 8 in that first book? It was perfectly acted by McGill, perfectly directed by Lynch - and also captured Rosenfield's essence. I suspect Frost did not remember he had already nailed that scene with perfection on the page. All that time later, ...

Re: 2021 Thoughts on Season 3
Jonah, your mention of your novels makes me really want to read one of them. Are they available anywhere online please? Axxon N - you are right, Frost is entirely aware of inconsistencies in the Secret History. Those are not explainable by just Cooper and the Lodge, it is suggested something bigger ...

Re: Why exactly did ABC treat the show so badly?
Sorry you feel that way, since my point is I think it is much more fun and interesting around here when people discuss and dig into the details of things, rather than crawling up trees of extreme opinions. I think you also put my into a camp of so-called "Lynch-splainers" without actually...

Antelope Don't Run No More never had its script copyrighted though, did it?Metamorphia wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 8:48 am Also agreed.
My general (pessimistic) feeling is that this will go the way of Antelope Don't Run No More.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
Guys, remember, let's keep it civil and friendly. A source was provided. A secondary one granted and it's not quite a cited rumour but it's not speculation about the show either, just an aside, so it doesn't really break the rules. It's just a couple of comments about where Lynch was apparently spo...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
I have heard that Lynch was in Whitefish, Montana last week. Source? I checked with them first so sorry for my delay in responding. Milly Moo in Australia whose dolls have appeared on The Blue Rose magazine cover told me. She got the info via Seattle from a source who wishes to remain very private ...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
Sorry Jackwith, only joking about Sabrina heaving big cases about. I have heard that Lynch was in Whitefish, Montana last week. He did mention the place in a previous interview from 2007 - as posted here on Dugpa - http://www.dugpa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=242 Lynch: No. My relatives in Montana wer...

Re: General Twin Peaks Chat and/or What would you like to see if there's more Twin Peaks?
Jonah - I really like your idea of Audrey 'saving' Cooper somehow. His obvious attraction to Audrey is very much tied to the small town eccentricity which Cooper fits in with I felt. That was more or less absent in The Return somewhat due to a pervasive feeling of decline. I don't think returning to...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
During the pandemic, I think Sabrina was in charge of the uploading of his channel's videos but she was doing that remotely. Before they both got two jabs, I think Lynch and Sabrina were not seeing each other that regularly apart from maybe via Zoom. Now I can imagine they are seeing each other more...

Re: Do you think FWWM is closer in tone/style to the original series or to The Return?
I found it a fairly straight portrayal of that kind of place. Blue Velvet is a bit more darkly comic in its similar scenes, including the deleted scene where a woman sets her chest on fire. FWWM certainly gives us a sincere depiction of Laura in a druggy hell which harkens to the Black Lodge. Donna'...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
More Twin Peaks set outside of the town or in the same mould as The Return - all I can think is whatever comes next it will be very different to season 3. ENTIRELY set in the town, now that would be a bold move.
