Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Now that's what I call a damn cliffhanger!!! Why couldn't all the episodes be like this? You wouldn't feel like this if all the other episodes weren't the way they were. Exactly. The pace and atmosphere of the first half of the season has made the last few episodes far more impactful. Although ther...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

So Audrey isn't just in a coma, she's trapped in the Lodge? I would assume that's the implication from the backwards Audrey's Dance over the credits after her "awakening."

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

I can't believe that, 15 weeks in, people are still actively bothering to complain that "Cooper hasn't shown up yet."

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Did we just watch some sort of twisted Lynch version of a Marvel origin story? Can't think of any other way to explain away Green Glove Boy. Man this show just gets more bizarre every week. I'm loving every minute of it, but with only 4 hours left and just more questions being introduced, I'm slight...

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

Also, in a career filled with so many disquieting and creepy lines/moments, Charlie's "Are you gonna stop playing games or am I gonna have to end your story too?" ranks up there with the most disturbing.

That was the most brilliantly meta episode of a show I've ever seen.

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)

Well, it was great for me, precisely because I was expecting it to be shit. I'm not slavishly claiming the whole thing is genius. I just enjoyed it. The first half particularly, since I could have been watching FWWM as its best during those Sarah Palmer scenes. You can read my posts on here- I'm no...

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)

I don't see the grossly negative reaction online that you do. Polarizing, yes. Overwhelmingly negative, far from it. I think the reaction in dedicated fan forums is actually far more vehement. Yeah I have no idea what he's seeing either. Each and every single episode of The Return has 100% positive...

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)

Well the last 20 minutes of that episode might have been the worst stretch of The Return so far. Baffling, and not in the usual good Lynch way.

Re: Part 11 - There's fire where you are going (SPOILERS)

The man on the piano was playing Sycamore Trees right? That's what he remembered? My god I almost started crying - that scene of his face... really shows the journey of him becoming the iconic figure we know and love. I think it was a brand new Badalamenti piece. It was called something like "...

Aside obviously from Episode 8, that might have been the best part since the first four.

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)

Fooled? They made money out of this. Also, do you honestly think they actually gave him total freedom and a blank check? There was supervision, just very limited on the artistic level. They certainly knew what Lynch was going to do and they probably saw a draft script before paying up for the filmi...

That was one of the most brilliant, terrifying and beautiful hours of film I've ever seen. Utterly speechless.

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

Re showtime losing money on this due to low ratings meaning less ad revenue: do they get a cut from all that merchandising tat? If so, I'd imagine between that, subs, DVD/BR sales and selling the streaming rights to overseas territories they'll do alright. Plus, yeah, the prestige of having a near-...
