Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Yes, after clinging on for dear life, hoping for an improvement while making serious efforts to connect with whatever the show gave me, I became indifferent to it all a few weeks ago. I became indifferent to it long before that but I am less so now, these days. Still, it comes and goes. I hold out ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

But that scene with Becky high on drugs in the car has been worth the price of admission IMHO. [...] I suspect once the Blu Ray comes out and Brad D. writes his next book, we'll know more about how the hours/parts were expanded and if there was any tension between Lynch and Frost in this regard and...

Cooper's awakening

How will this be handled? We may only have a week to find out but it is a very real and pressing issue. It seems that many just assume he will be 1991 era Cooper again but that seems improbable if not impossible, especially with the passage of time being of such central importance to this "Retu...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

I didn't really get 'teapot' when we met Phillip Jeffries. I thought it was the same kind of bell shaped thing that was in the Giant's residence and in the room that Cooper gets transported to in outer space. That's exactly what I thought too. Teapot never entered my mind until I began reading comm...

Re: The Lodges and the Convenience Store

I'm not so sure there really is a Black Lodge and a White Lodge. Seems like those might just be names humans gave to what they didn't understand, and the lines between all of these extra-dimensional spaces might be more blurred than that. The only real reference we've gotten this season is Evil Coo...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

I hope maybe after Audrey wakes up or at the very least has a scene outside of this loop we get a Pete Martell mention. Lynch has honored pretty much every other actor that was one of his favorites that died so far besides Jack with Pete. Would be a nice touch. I think you very well may get your wi...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

I still wonder who Audrey's family assume to be Richard's father. This is one question few seem to bring up unless I've missed voluminous pages of it elsewhere, which is quite possible.

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

Well, the Russian spoilers were right after all (at least for now). Easily one of the best parts yet, both deeply poignant and deeply comic as well as unsettling and mysterious. Very glad Lynch is playing up the glove bit for laughs.

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Well, this is the episode I've had the most negative immediate reaction to. Eps 1 & 2 left me cold after first viewing but I'd gradually warmed towards the series as it's gone on, so much so, I've found myself eagerly anticipating Monday mornings (I'm a UK viewer). Unfortunately tonight, I was ...

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

That was my thought! Are he and Naido (?) talking to each other? Or is he just mimicking her? Kinda reminded me of Bobby and Mike barking in the Pilot.... Billy (?) seems to only be able to repeat what Naido and Chat are saying. Remind us of anyone else? Yes, that's why I said he seemed "manuf...

So I'm assuming Billy is the guy in the jail with the broken face? Seemed "manufactured" to me.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

It reminds me of The Cremaster Cycle more than anything else I've seen. Yes, absolutely. I've been saying this for awhile. The shot of the gas pumps at Big Ed's reminded me of the gas station scene in Cremaster 2--clean, spare, supremely precise in its artifice--as does the convenience store in par...
