To be fair, Brad only said it's Twin Peaks that's not on the radar at P+. If the project is something different, it could still happen under P+, right?

I think he did start young. I remember him talking about his early-adopted ideal of "the art life" as painting, drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes. Which pretty much sums up the way he started his career, after his self described life-changing realization in his teens or whatever, upon...

Quitting smoking is very hard. One can quit and still be addicted to nicotine gum years later. One can easily quit everything else - caffeine, meat, dairy, alcohol - but still find nicotine tough to kick. I may or may not knwo some of this from personal experience ;) or from others I know. Must be ...

Why the assumption Lynch hasn't quit smoking? Has he been seen smoking? If not, I think he totally might have, probably during the early virus panic.

There's always the possibility of this very forum being some Twitter account's source of excitement ;) Not unlike how it used to be the source of many for rumors and leaks.

What if the Roadhouse scenes weren't some heady philosophical meditation on the mundane everyday lives of people we don't know. Or subtle critiques of audience expectations and a priori assumptions on what True Art should strive to be,. What if they were just stuff to be addressed later or stuff th...

Re: Film musicals

Haven't seen too many, but I love The Blues Brothers. Great music, great comedy, and endless spectacular car chases all rolled into an absolute gem of a movie.

Yeah.. let's be honest, we both know he's talking about a lamp he's making.

Re: General Discussion on Season 3 (All Opinions Welcome)

Anyway, I disagree about the creepiness. Reminiscent of the bum in Mulholland, and to me evokes the feeling they belong to the "dark", and that they're carrying darkness around with them, as if they're wearing it. Almost as if their faces are singed/covered with soot from being too close ...

Re: General Discussion on Season 3 (All Opinions Welcome)

It’s not in the desert, for one. It was a facade built in the area where the rest of the WA scenes were shot, that dematerializes into thin air or may not physically exist on planet Earth at all. The Trinity test was in New Mexico. Doom Town was Nevada, you could see the explosions from the Vegas s...

Re: To the Profoundly Disappointed: Are You Still Disappointed?

I think what some of you guys might be missing about the look of the Convenience Store in TR is that it's meant to be a prop building on the atomic bomb test site. More like a facade of a house in an old Western. I don’t get any Nevada test site vibes from it. Those buildings were complete structur...
