Re: Mark Frost & Fire Walk With Me
I think Lynch was there post-Leland, but he was very likely detached and more indifferent, being disillusioned by the whole thing after the Laura Palmer mystery was resolved. The only time he really was engaged was obviously the finale, where he had extensively rewritten a script that was pretty muc...

Re: Lynch rated and ranked
I loved Gary Hershberger's performance in the traffic jam sequence in FWWM as MIKE. Such an incredible, chameleon-like actor.

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
The alternate timeline is something that I suspected ever (season 3 spoiler) since a leaked photo of Jacques Renault from the Roadhouse came out.

Re: The Supernatural, Silva and the Season 2 Problem
I loved Silva. Probably the most terrifying TV villain ever. He was misused on a couple of occasions (such as, surprise, episode 16) but BOB is a force of a nature, and Silva played that part to a tee.

Re: The Supernatural, Silva and the Season 2 Problem
What the hell??? We must've watched a different episode here ... Quality-wise, I find this particular ep practically on par with everything Lynch has done through the series and sometimes have trouble reminding myself that he had nothing to do with its writing and/or direction. And as for MacLachla...

Re: The Supernatural, Silva and the Season 2 Problem
I never understood the whole "season 1 is flawless" thing. I had always thought that the momentum and a sense of tension after Lynch's episode 2 started to sizzle out, the pacing started to get more uneven (or perhaps after the funeral scene in the next episode), even glacial in some episo...

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread
Not sure if this is the right thread, but here is something "random" I've never seen discussed. As well defined of a charachter as Cooper was, in many ways, he is QUITE different between the Pilot and the series. His speech patterns are radically different at times. "Sheriff, what ki...

Re: INTERSTELLAR -- Lynch as Nolan's Primary Influence
I think there is very little connection between the two. Calling Lynch a primary influence to Nolan is really reaching it.
