Owls?

I know not every mystery will be answered, not every thread continued but Im surprised the owls have just been totally abandoned. I did see a ceramic owl in Dougie's kitchen, but that's it. I also know the book kind of sort of gave an answer, but it didnt really (to me anyway)>

Re: Part 11 - There's fire where you are going (SPOILERS)

1. There's no reason all of the storylines should resolve. In real life everyone doesn't experience some neat little kind of resolve at the same time, if ever. Lynch famously either avoids resolution, or leaves resolution very much open to interpretation (just look at the various interpretations of...

Re: FWWM and relevance to Season 3

I re-watched FWWM just ahead of S3 premiere. I hadn't seen it in a while, so I like to think I had a fresh objective view on it. Your colleague could be put off by any number of things that resonated as "weird." For one: the two-stories-within-one-movie. Agents Desmond & Stanley domin...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

it was so rushed and strange. It gave me an Inland Empire vibe, with the kind of fish-eye lens look and the camera shoved in peoples face. The way those were shot was so different that other scenes. The cinematography has been so varied. Well, it was news footage being captured. That's why it was s...

Re: Part 10 - Laura is the one (SPOILERS)

Of everything this Part threw at me, and I loved this one, Johnny staring into his freaking teddy bear is going to stay with me the longest. That was both deeply unsettling and deeply heartbreaking, much like many of the more violent scenes. But there was something so tragic in that situation. Mast...

Re: Part 10 - Laura is the one (SPOILERS)

We haven't gone deeper into why Cooper seems to be missing his gunshot wound from Josie and his stab wound from Windom Earle. Cooper was wearing a bulletproof vest.He never got shot Remember that Coop had pulled his vest up a bit because of a "wood tick" or something. Anyway, there was de...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

New lurker (used to lurk about a year ago too), first post. Definitely struggling to enjoy watching the eps for a variety of reasons, yet look forward to next one each time. I suspect a 2nd viewing of the whole series will be much more enjoyable. I am not sure if I am disappointed, I feel disorient...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I kind of wonder this too. The scene where the little boy is run over was really graphic and long. It felt downright sadistic. Why subject your audience to seeing a child killed in such a way? Its strange I found that scene affecting and powerful, and certainly not indicative of any kind of mental ...

Yeah the beer can was unacceptable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Didn't even notice it. Would love a screenshot. It's the sound. You can hear her slam the can down over and over and it's clearly empty.....and the terribly faked drinking....at least try, ya know? Just like the whole stupid sta...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I'm so confused about how I feel about this show. This episode threw me again. Can't tell if I love it or hate it. Episodes 7 and 9 restored my confidence in Lynch as a director. because it seemed like everything was deliberately planned, even the sweeping scene. But I really thought by episode ten...
