Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

Page 143 - Margaret Coulson's tattoo We know this is not the tattoo found on the Log Lady's leg. In fact, the actual symbol found on Margaret's leg is on the cover of the book. Mark Frost knew about the existence of this symbol, it is unlikely he did not remember its origin. Someone must have altere...

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

I'll start. Page 191 - Ilsa Lindstrom We know that Norma's mother was actually Vivian, and she did not pass away in 1984. Jane Greer appeared as Vivian in three episodes, and had a fairly major story arc. Vivian's new husband, Ernie Niles was played by James Booth and appeared in five episodes. Thes...

SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

This is a thread dedicated to cataloging the inconsistencies found in the Secret History of Twin Peaks. There appear to be many "mistakes" found in the Secret History of Twin Peaks that do not line up with known facts from the original series. This is not a thread to admonish Mark Frost. H...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

I now think the dossier was altered from its original form, or just completely fabricated by an unknown party. In the video to promote the book, there were a few glaring discrepancies that we all noticed immediately; the Log Lady's tattoo, Norma's parents and several dates not lining up. I believe t...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

I loved the book, I actually read it cover to cover in almost one sitting. I was riveted, and genuinely shocked a few times. I have much to say about it, as I think we all will, but I'll need some time to read it again, and absorb some things. It is a strange feeling to finally have some answers to ...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

I think it's Teresa too, as a throwback to Teresa Banks. Can't think of many longish female names. Maybe Tallulah?!? Palmer, Packard, Pulaski... while it would be so exciting to have an FBI agent who was related to an original character, I'm doubtful. In Gordon Cole's letter to the agent, he explain...

Egads. This strikes fear into my heart. Any more information on this would be appreciated!

The log has been stripped naked! All of the bark is gone in that gif!

I think the commercial for the Secret History of Twin Peaks was recorded recently, and the log was fully barked then. Very strange.

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

These books are a love letter to the real fans like us. The only people who are going to buy and read The Secret History/Secret Lives of Twin Peaks are fans who are truly invested in the show and the characters. Why would anyone else read them? These books are a gift to us. So... Chris Mulkey is a c...

Agent Sam Stanley wrote:So Len Cariou and Annie Wersching are only in for the audiobook?
I hope they're both in the new season too, but perhaps they'll be voicing important characters from the past?

Whoa! Chris Mulkey! Len Cariou was the original Sweeney Todd on Broadway... he's got an amazing, scary voice.

I'm incredibly curious about Amy Shiels. Seems like she might be playing a local!

I wonder if the cave/mine referenced in the journal entry about Denver Bob might actually be Owl Cave?

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

I'm a little concerned that the Log appears to be in evidence now. The dossier was found at a crime scene; I hope Margaret wasn't involved somehow. I think the log was there in the same rank as the cherry pie or the cup of coffee. Just a wink, a node to the original series. At first, I thought that...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

... YES! That is amazing! None of us should ever pretend to know the series (past or future) better than Frost/Lynch. They created the world of Twin Peaks, and it's theirs. We're all just lucky that they have chosen to share it with us. Finger wagging over continuity is for poets and dairy cows.
