Re: How do you feel about Fire Walk With Me?

enjoyed it; i own the dvd. the musical score is masterful. i loved the quote from the obnoxious guy at the police station who'd said, when asked if there was a phone availiable, [i'm paraphrasing here as i cannot remember the exact words]' {there's a phone here}; it's got a little ring'. i've even u...

Re: When did you first see Twin Peaks?

i just wanted to add my 2 cents to the discussion regarding laura's mother. i have to admit, that i, too, laughed when she screamed and sobbed upon learning of her daughter's murder, because of the manner in which she expressed her grief. it was over the top and funny as hell. that character always ...

Re: When did you first see Twin Peaks?

i believe that it was 1st run during the summer of 90 here in western mass; i didn't bother with it then. but when it was rerun in the fall, i watched the pilot and was instantly hoooked. i did miss some of the episodes of the 2nd season, so i bought the full vhs set soon after they were released. 7...

Re: The music that make you cry

3. The world spins. this is my favorite song. the melody is so very moving. donna sobs during this song; perhaps she, too, is affected by it? Hi everyone I am new here to the forum. The music of Angelo is one of the things that makes Twin Peaks such a work of art and it has inspired numerous artist...

i'll bet it'll be beautiful.
i wonder if this area is the same area that an episode of 'millenium' was shot in.

i watch mostly during the daytime as i often cannot keep my eyes open at a late evening hour. but since my sleep is disordered, i've been known the view peaks or anything, for that matter, in the wee hours before going back to sleep. oh, and i watch tv on a tiny 13 inch screen. and now that i've got...

yeah, i figured that i had the name a tad wrong...this is typical of me when it comes to names. i generally have a very poor recall for them. i wasn't too wild about the movie itself, either. it was hard to follow at times. it pretty much dealt with a very decadant/debauched lifestyle, and offered l...

Kyle McLaughlin as Ray Manzanec {spelling?} in 'The Doors'

what a pleasant suprise to see him in this role. lol, i couldn't miss that strong chin in profile. to be sure, he looked funny to me with long-ish light colored hair; he also smoked a lot. i enjoyed this movie [ on a dvd rented from netflix] and it was facinating to see Kyle in such an unlike agent ...

i remember that sheryl lee had a role on a hospital series a few years after TP; i forget its name.
i wonder what she'd done since? would anyone know?

anyway, i did think her acting on fwwm was pretty evocative; watching the movie always brings me to tears. a lousy actress couldn't do that.

methinks it's time for a re-read.

certainly, much of 'twin peaks' gastronomic fare isn't at all healthy. would that it were, it wouldn't be half as fun. when i have my TP marathons, i will buy a can of cherry pie filling and fill a graham cracker crust with it and then top with low fat or fat free coolwhip. while it's full of empty ...

the humming telephone poles and wires symbolize the way in which the external area of TP is fraught with Laura's psychological distress
indeed, i'd always wondered about this. thankyou for your explanation; it makes damned good sense to me.
