Re: Twin Peaks: Season Three confirmed for 2016 on Showtime

Agreed. Someday I will watch that fanedit as a thought experiment. But while I've heard quite a few people suggesting an extended cut for broadcast I don't like the idea. The Missing Pieces are cool as curio fragments (I also like them as a bridge between show & film but seem to be alone in tha...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

Every humanly effort was made to find the alternate footage. This was a top priority and I can personally confirm that all existing negative was pulled from storage including footage that had to be shipped in from the salt mines in Pennsylvania. I had the great privilege of helping review every pie...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

I would have liked to follow up with additional interviews but with there being an almost 10 year time gap and having time constraints, we opted to keep everything sourced from the original set of interviews. At some point in the project I pitched the idea of using the footage to CBS and they agree...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

I do wish that we'd gotten some more details regarding this - I would love to discuss the doc itself with Dugpa on this forum if possible, as I neglected to do so back in 2010 and the subject seems to have fallen off the radar since. Glad to discuss. What has been released on the Blu-ray is all of ...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

What is the time frame of production on 'Moving Through Time'? Presumably shot years ago as it has been made on rubbish digital video instead os 1080? Can't think of any other explanation.. And if it was years ago.. where has it been sat all this time? Between Two Worlds - How was that produced? - ...

Re: Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces - analysis/thoughts etc

Wanted to add my own little bit: I never got what The Red Dwarf was talking about when he said: "With this ring, I thee wed". I had to wonder: who or what was he talking about? Who was being married? But then, with the extended version of that scene, you get the lines like "intercours...

Lucy's abortion subplot

Hey guys, there's a plot hole in the second season that bugs me - in one episode, Lucy claims that she's going to visit her sister Gwen. Then, Andy finds out that she's made an appointment at an abortion clinic. In the next episode, however, that point is never brought up again and Lucy returns with...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

So just saw the Missing Pieces - man, these are amazing. The role of the ring in these pieces is a LOT clearer, especially with the whole "intercourse between two worlds" dialogue pertaining to "I thee wed." There are several scenes I would've loved to see in the movie, but I can...

Re: Are You Attending the Festival??

I think there's a point each year when I think I'll go and then I become too busy or forget about it until all the tickets are sold out. Sigh… Maybe next year - this is an event I should attend at least once in my lifetime.

Re: How was Leland wounded?

I didn't think it was a wound at all - I thought it was Laura's blood staining his shirt.

I'm thinking the rationale behind the art was that Laura has missing pieces.

I'm really curious if that "World of Blue" doc has been retitled or is not going to make the release at all.

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray DVD Official Discussion Thread

Just wanted to say - we should give a big round of applause to Dugpa for helping out with this trailer - I mean, it's like someone basically said: "We don't need to show people anything from the non-deleted footage, so let's find some of the best, most talked about moments from the cut scenes a...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray DVD Discussion

...the U.S.A in 1989-90 was not ready for a Tv show like Twin Peaks that is why it has been canceled. In europe we were more open-minded for more seasons and this is why the movie has been done, because the european understood it better ... they want to know more about Twin Peaks at this period of ...
