Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Could the Fireman in episode 8 have been creating Laura's tulpa? Maybe! Does one need a bit of DNA from the source material though? I think we can definitely expect Laura to show up in some capacity though for the finale. Oh my gosh, yes! The Giant created her tulpa, and he sent her to the waiting ...

Re: RE: Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

To kind of go off subject for a moment, I'm gonna be really sad when the series ends and we stop sharing with each other every day. I'm surely not the only one here that is removed from former days of steady friendships and frequent get togethers. It's not simply a matter of getting older, I don't ...

Re: RE: Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Finally caught up on all of the pages and surprised nobody has mentioned what the connection of 'the seed' and tulpas has to do with the box in Buenos Aires. I'm particularly convinced too by an earlier poster's idea of Albert being involved with the 'Jeffries' call in episode 2. Maybe he is still ...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

According to the Wiki, Cooper was 35 when he was assigned to the Laura Palmer case. If the little boy were, say, 10 years old when he 'caused a reflection' then DoppelCoop could be 25 at that point, i.e. 25 years older than Richard. Yes. Thank you. It amuses me how many people here assume Mark Fros...

Re: RE: Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Do we think the coordinates where Richard died were the two matching or other one? Like did he send him to the non-matching one and lie to him about it because he thought it might be a trap? And who are the three people that sent him coordinates? Who sent the two matching set vs. the other set? Did...

Re: RE: Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

One of my fav scenes so far: Cole looking around mystified by all the equipment, like, "What's all this stuff for?" Seems kind of a meta-commentary on "how the hell are they going to wrap this up?" -- and then he asks us to hold his beer. The scene was sandwiched between two oth...

Re: RE: Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

To go from the Becky shoots the door sequence (and RR scene) to Becky calling Shelly to Steven in the woods is not great storytelling. There has to be some literal missing pieces there, some kind of exposition. Agreed. The way that narrative thread is presented makes it hard to care about any of it...

I think Dale is back, but knowing Lynch we won't end up seeing him for 2 whole episodes anyway [emoji38]

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Is Andy now a host for the Fireman, like the old waiter? I did think the framing of the shots – in what I'm certain is the WL – evoked a connection between Andy and the Fireman; or maybe it's just because they're both tall  There's also the parallels between the shot of Ed at the end of the la...

Re: RE: Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

i think now that Jeffries voice has been redubbed by another actor i think we can be safe in saying that David Bowie will not make a suprise apperance aside from old/manipulated footage.. Harry Goaz said in an interview back in May that Bowie was supposed to do it but it never came to fruition befo...

Re: RE: Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Upon rewatch I think the fact that the FBI bring up the ring with Diane is really odd. Did they do this because they figured out it's the only thing they hadn't asked her about and they were willing to indulge her likely deception? Or are they 2 steps ahead somehow? With all the machinery in the roo...

Re: RE: Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Just thought of another connection between Naido and Laura: the leaning in to whisper something the audience can't hear into a character's ear. There must be something to this. Also re: Diane: it seems lots of people are having a very hard time opening up to the possibility that this Diane is evil,...
