Yeah but unlike his other movies I don't really want to watch it again.

Ah, that's a great song. That song is four mins long and it appears in the movie for like 30 seconds and is REALLY hard to hear (least on the English mix). I'm glad we get to hear it in it's full glory finally. I've always loved the melody to this one.

I saw it yesterday for the first time. I didn't like it. There were parts I liked, but overall it lacked any cohesiveness for me. That's not to say it's not well made or directed, but I don't know... didn't click with me.

Thoughts on the "television" cut

I really love the Dune movie. I was really eager to sit down and finally see the elongated version and after seeing it I can see why David Lynch would have problems with it. The biggest problem is the editing... there's a lot of audio problems, and for some reason there are moments in the movie wher...

I think its a pretty good release considering the amount of episodes. I mean with only 7 episodes for the first season - its easy to make an affordable deluxe release. Not so with a second season of 22 episodes. In some shows they'll have like "Season Two Volume One" and "Season Two ...

If I had to guess, I'll bet the season one stuff is going to be a downgrade. No audio commentary and the transfers will probably not be the same, probably not sound or look as good (I don't know anything about who owns the rights to the transfers to the 2001 set so I'm guessing they'd just redo it),...

How similar are the book and movie? I've always wondered. Like could you list some similarities and differences?

i'm really hoping that the theme from episode 29 will be on the soundtrack (the theme played right at the beginning of the episode, when cooper and truman figure out the location of the lodge). been looking all over the web for it and actually i found some variations of it, but not the 'real thing'...

I'm generally against any and all alterations, but these two just don't get me worked up. Same here. I barely noticed the changes. The thing I'm most interested is the origin of the changes... why they happened. Certainly not because of censorship or anything, because all the messy bits seemed to b...

I'm totally with you on this, Leo--great insight and info. The switch from the intuitive seeker/hero to linear Holmseian detective was a mistake...it totally changed the nature of Coop and of the mystique of the show. Cooper goes off his intuition the entire second season, he does not simply switch...

Windom: I've always hoped my endless hours of mentoring might CONTRIBUTE to the development of a fertile MIND. Also, the Josie in the drawer knob bit is just plain corny (or should I say "creamed corny"?). I have read that one of the writers/producers (Lynch himself?) saw some example of early CGI-type FX and said something to the effect of, "Let's put Josie's head in the drawer knob". Y...

I would have preferred that Leland simply banged his head and died than the bit with Ray Wise over-acting while Coop strokes his hair and repeats "Into the light" over and over. Gah! It was cheesy but so are a lot of things on Twin Peaks. I liked it. It's actually one of my favorite episo...

Perhaps Frost would consider hiring me, as an Independent, to remix the whole bloody mess in 5.1, delivering both DD and DTS masters. I would certainly be willing.... ...and I could even retain and enhance the original stereo mixes for the 'purists'. Were you involved at all in the Season One remas...

Yeah I have to agree with Audrey. It felt like it should have been Audrey who was kidnapped and taken to the black lodge. I didn't mind Annie Blackburn though. I usually don't like Heather Graham, but I thought she did a pretty good job.
