The cover art for the UK release is much better than the R1 edition. As much as I love my R1 DVD (which is quite frankly manna from heaven) the cover looks like it was printed on an inkjet printer. The design's beautiful but badly executed and to make matters worse a security sticker had been placed...

In my opinion, the documentary was very well done and insightful. But to come to this judgment, you have to realize it is about Jack Nance the living being not Nance the Lynch creature who funnily pronounces "percolator". My mouth fell open when I read that line. It's the most patronising...

I bought the Virgin DVD today and the black and silver slipcase looks beautiful. As with the HMV edition the only thing that's exclusive about it is the slipcase (and the HMV DVD comes with five artcards). The DVD inside is just the standard UK edition.

That's exactly how I felt. By the end of it I started to feel like I'd been rummaging through someone's bin. The circumstances surrounding Jack Nance's death, and the cans of film that were held to ransom are depressing and left me in quite a dark place at the end. I love the footage in Pretty As A ...

The second disc of the 2-disc edition is a soundtrack CD so it depends whether or not you want the music from the documentary. You can buy both versions for peanuts and you'll probably only watch it the once.

Thanks Snikgrif and Fall_of_Sophia, you're stars. I looked at both sites but in the end I decided to order a copy from CD-Wow because I know they use robust packaging. I'm worried Axel use those plastic bag things. I usually buy DVDs from Caiman via Amazon marketplace but it's not listed on Amazon y...

McFarlane Twin Peaks figures would be a beautiful thing. A Black Lodge set is second only to the FWWM deleted scenes on my DL wish list! I have the NECA Nightmare Before Christmas action figures, which are excellent, but McFarlane is much better IMHO. Their Austin Powers figures are beautiful. The H...

They replaced Sheryl because she was ethereal and they wanted to take the character in another direction. There's an interview with one of the producers or writers somewhere on the net. He said she was really lovely about it and they want to use her at some point in the future.

INLAND EMPIRE in the UK (aka Things You May Want To Buy)

Just a few bits and pieces about INLAND EMPIRE in the UK... So far there are four different versions of the DVD available - the standard 2-disc edition in a generic plastic box with the same artwork as the UK quad poster (pink picture of Laura Dern at the top and blue picture at the bottom) - the HM...

great scene. I wonder why lynch chose certain scenes to be left out of the actual INLAND EMPIRE. If it had been any longer it wouldn't have fit onto one DVD. I don't think I'd actually want to watch a four hour film even if it was DL (FWWM is the exception) because my attention would be flagging ba...

I haven't bought the R1 DVD yet but I intend to order it asap - I'm just not sure where from. I usually use Amazon Marketplace but they haven't listed it yet. Your post has made me drool! I'm glad somebody besides me grasps how mad it is to leave More Things That Happened off the UK release. If you ...

You're welcome, Moviemaker. I was going to buy a copy yesterday because the sleeve's beautiful (the silver really compliments the artwork) but they didn't have many copies in Virgin and the ones they did have were slightly bumped. I pawed their stock then decided that since I already had the HMV edi...

Received the DVD from Amazon with the split cover with Blue women on top and bottom and summarily returned it... I went to Best buy and picked up the one with the original cover--INLAND EMPIRE on top with the Blue Laura Dern on the bottom... http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/8291/41dywug4knlaa240z...

It's highly unlikely the blue rose and the blue dye are connected. In FWWM the emphasis is on new mysteries. DL doesn't even address the ritual aspect of Laura's killing (the mound of dirt, the scrap of paper, the heart necklace) and that's quite an important part of the series, so it's unlikely he'...

Yep it appears to have at least doubled. The shipping costs have no basis in the real world. You could ship a piano for the amount they're charging to send a DVD to the UK. My experiences with the davidlynch.com shop haven't been great, unfortunately.
