Re: FWWM Convience Store Scene in relation to Season 3 (SPOILERS)

I think you meant the man from another place not the on armed man as he is clearly in the new show and also was not in the convenience store. I think the bigger question is what they will do with Bob at all. I feel the best thing to do is to recast him either with a look a like or as a completely d...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Kyle saying this is NOT a nostalgia-journey - these are new stories to tell - makes me feel - after all 18 episodes - most people/fans will not really see this as a part of Twin Peaks. Yes, we will revisit known characters, places and stories to a certain grade, but this will be so different from t...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Love the teaser. The girl saying that on the phone for some reason made me wonder if that was some sort of a trap for "BOB" as it invoked imagery from his previous murders and victims in a way.

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Honestly, a show featuring a lot of old people looking sad & depressed really excites me (in Lynch's hands). Don't know what that says about me!! In a way, I know what you mean. We don't get a lot of shows with a big portion of characters over 50 years old, and we have so many talented actors i...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I feel for Showtime in some ways as they have very little to go on - and by the sounds of it they've spent quite a bit of money on this thing. I think the 'Before Breaking was bad' trailer (or whatever it was) was a really bad one though. If anything people tend to be turned off by proclamations th...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I think Twin Peaks works best as a self contained story as opposed to an ongoing show. I think it needs a who killed Laura Palmer like overreaching plot to keep it on focus. So what we're getting is in my opinion the best fit for it. Most revivals of old shows tend to be limited up to 10 episodes se...

Re: Least Favorite Storyline in Twin Peaks

The Windom Earle storyline used as the main plot once Laura's murder was resolved. I tend to be mainly interested in plots and storylines over characters in TV shows. I think most plot driven shows work on a sensible balance between the main plot and the various peripheral B plots who's main purpose...

Re: POLL: Predict BOB for S3 [Book spoilers permitted]

It has to feature Frank Silva in some way. His Bob is such an integral part of Twin Peaks iconography. The absence of it would likely be felt. It also happens to be the kind of thing that allows itself to be done with CGI and/or old footage.

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

The safest thing for all of us to do, IMHO, is put down any pre-conceptions we may have about the plot, the tone, the feel. I feel we are best served by making ourselves into empty vessels, coming to the new show almost as if this were an entirely new series with entirely new characters that we kno...

Same.
They definitely do but promo pics often differ from the shows they're from. I doubt the show will be as bright and high contrast as the photos are.

Re: Lara Flynn Boyle putting paid to Cooper and Audrey romance?

Those are both pretty good for working careers -except when we compare it to things like Julia Roberts, where that is like .00005 of the industry. That's kind of the whole point as far as I'm concerned. The thing is you can pick any network tv drama and most sitcoms from the last 3-4 decades and fi...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

Much like Bob/Leland tried to ''delete'' his interaction with Laura, I believe Bob/Cooper is trying to ''delete'' any trace of Annie as she is the key to rediscovering the lodges. But how would Annie be the key? Because she had been there, and thus knows the location? But if we place ourselves in A...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Vanderohe - that depends on what you'd consider to be high ratings and how they measure that now. Once the show is up and running it will gather its own steam. Potential continuations have been given the okay, IF this is successful. But obviously they're not going to be thinking about more seasons ...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Maybe I'm missing something but what does it being longer than 5 episodes have to do with anything? It can be 100 episodes as long as its one season and it would still be a limited series just as long as it has a self-contained story with no planned further seasons. If it's between 2 and 5 episodes...

Audrey would be an interesting choice from the Horne family.
