Re: Introductions
Oops... I forgot to post in here. I make music, and recently studied music. This year I did a dissertation on Lynch's use of music in film, in relation to Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive and INLAND EMPIRE specifically, and even hijacked a Lynch Q+A last year in London to ask him about music. (This may ...

Re: Last Book You Read
Bill Drummond's 17. Supposedly about a conceptual choir he's established, it's more akin to 400 pages of onanism in relation to his disenchantment with the music industry (ie. managing Echo and the Bunnymen and The Teardrop Explodes, making pop music as The KLF, etc). Still very entertaining though,...

Philosophy Of A Knife
The most violent film I've ever seen, and based on the true events of the Japanese medical experimentation centre in World War II - Unit 731. For an incredibly NSFW clip, type 'Unit 731 teeth' into YouTube, and prepare to squirm.

Re: How would you rank David Lynch's films?
These three are at the bottom:
Wild At Heart
Lost Highway
Dune
The rest I couldn't possibly rank into order.

Re: New David Lynch DVD Box - the Lime Green Set
Hm... £90 is not necessarily a bad price for this (although still quite steep) but I think its taking the piss a little bit to not release IS#1 and the other new bits seperately. It does serve as a reminder of course that although David Lynch is a great artist, he's also a businessman, who makes a ...

Re: What tracks could make up a TP Volume 3 Soundtrack?
Does anyone have the technology and knowhow to make a CD of all of the unreleased TP tracks? It could be free and for private use only so no one is making money off of it and the TP fans could have this just for their own personal listening pleasure. I know this sounds potentially crazy, but is thi...

On a V/Vm/Lynch note, here's the former's pastiche/tribute to Mulholland Drive:

Re: Twin Peaks Tribute Album-There Was A Fish In The Percolator
I've only ever known V/Vm to reissue a couple of releases out of the hundred or so he's put out since 1996, so the chances are remote. However he may upload MP3s to his website at some point (maybe in a year or two), or the audio may appear on his upcoming 7-disc retrospective box-set, but I'd say t...

Re: Twin Peaks Tribute Album-There Was A Fish In The Percolator
It is indeed both creepy and fabulous. It also includes screen-printed artwork by Motorboy (of Pete Martell running to warn Harry and Dale not to drink the coffee), and a replication of the map to the Black Lodge. Don't buy it from Boomkat though - their P+P costs are hideous (EDIT: and it's sold ou...

Re: Catching the Big Fish - the Documentary
For some reason I could imagine this laying somewhere between 1 Giant Leap and An Inconvenient Truth. Although I've never seen American Chronicles, so it might be more like that, which may well be nothing like 1GL/AIT.
