Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
For what's worth (probably not much), I wish you wouldn't split, Blue Rose. I always appreciate a doubter who's good with putting his doubts into words and so far you have been one of the very best :) Your inputs are invaluable for this thread, so if there's any chance that you might change your min...

Everything but practically everyone's statements. Lynch doesn't have absolutely anything to gain by being coy in regards to it. Not at this point.

Re: On the air?
Well, considering the fate of the series, one has to wonder if the more appropriate title wouldn't actually be OFF THE AIR. :D I mean, four of its seven episodes didn't even air in the US in any kind of capacity. Ever. That's interesting. I seem to remember some black and white ancient film with su...

Re: S3: Make Your Peace Now with the Ending You Dread (SPOILERS)
I want the story to have an ending, an open ending sure, but something that feels final (for what it's worth both the original series and FWWM felt that way to me). I just don't see another season in the works. This was a 5-year effort for a 71-year-old man who hadn't directed anything even feature...

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
Well, that is the challenge at the moment. If the show doesn't start improving really soon in terms of emphasis on character, characters you care about, allowing the viewer to build 'relationships' with the characters, this season will have almost no replay value whatsoever once all 18 episodes hav...

Re: Season 3 Magazine Coverage and Articles Worldwide
I can't stress enough how much I enjoy Dana's coolness and down-to-earthness, has to be one of the least conceited people ever, and in the line of business that he's in, that's saying something. That vibe radiates from his every statement and overall demeanor. What an all-around great guy he seems, ...

WOW, Bob, WOW.
It seems a portion of this thread has been swallowed by the Black Lodge.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Ha. I, too, don't get all these fussing about the supposed excellence of part 3's first half. To me, the stuff felt quite a bit like Monthy Python's Flying Circus (Gabriel already made that comparison somewhere and I find it very apt and on-the-nose). Which is perfectly fine, don't get me wrong, it'...

I also feel the original series loses the reality and scope of the Pilot.
The Pilot feels like a real, inhabited world in a way that the series, even at its absolute best, never quite does for me.
That's exactly what this new season's guilty of as well. So far.

Re: Joan Chen's letter to David Lynch (NON SPOILER)
Simple: because it's not an embarrassment (like the Dougie scenes in the new season, per example) but a damn good scene.

Re: No Spoilers Poll: Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down or 'Meh' On S3?
Apart from bits and pieces I still haven't rewatched the episodes, which tells me a lot - if I'd loved it I would have by now. I warmed to it with Episodes 3 & 4 and am going with the flow for what it is. But it isn't what I'd hoped it would be all these years - or even close to what I imagined...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Wow, a whole thread dedicated to hating on the new series. Most of the disappointment will be coming from a lack of understanding of what you're watching. Those seeking instant gratification and all the answers on a plate will be sorely disappointed - and rightly so. Ok then, I'll leave you all to ...
