Unsure.
I don't know if I'd want a 4th Season at this point, but I'd be interested in a standalone 2 hour tangential feature a la FWWM. A whole movie about Sarah Palmer, for example, would be good.

Re: S3: Biggest Disappointment About Unresolved Subplots?
(...) Because cosmic battles aren't the point, and they never were. All the Really Important stuff being investigated by cops and Feds and military folks, all the codes to crack, and powerful mystic forces are the way in to the real stuff: the traumas that define us. (...) I wish I could agree with...

Re: S3: Biggest Disappointment About Unresolved Subplots?
Yeah, I was expecting a Mulholland Drive style ending, where our perception of everything would change - what I wasn't expecting was for so much of what we'd been watching to be inconsequential to the conclusion. Like if the actors who played Shelly, Becky, Ben, Beverly, etc showed up in part 18 as ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I wonder if Frost and Lynch are happy with The Return ? It kind of does feel like they wrote it back and forth over Skype rather than meeting up in person - a fractured storyline being pulled back and forth in very different directions. This is is somewhat reflected in what we see in the show as wel...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
I really liked Part 18, in fact it was one of the best parts of the series. But as an ending? I don't know. I think it would have been stronger if more of the Return had been in this vein rather than saving it for the very end.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Hmm. I really liked pt 18 as its own thing and it's arguably a fascinating conclusion to Coop & Laura's stories, but as an overall ending to the 17 hours that preceded it? Weak. Why the hell am I supposed to care about Shelly/Red/Becky/Steven, or Ben/Beverly/Jerry, or Audrey/Charlie if those arc...

Heavily Mixed leaning towards like. Might change to like or love in the future.

Bobby's 'usual' the Double R diner - which appeared to be a big plate of plain spagetti and tomato sauce.

It's also possible that Jeffries was well-known back in 89, but people stopped discussing him at a certain point for whatever reason.

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)
I don't think this is gonna happen, but it would definitely be quite a shock to have it revealed that we've not been in the real Roadhouse all along - we finally see Julee Cruise perform, and she's totally off key, the building is in disrepair, and the crowd is pitifully small.

Re: The visual aesthetic of the new Twin Peaks
As has been written on here by many others and more eloquently, digital doesn't necessarily mean it can't look filmic.
Choices regarding camera, lenses, lighting, the level of focus ... all things that could have made a lot of this material more visually intriguing to my sensibilities.

Re: Seeing FWWM before the series
At this point I'd just as happily recommend starting with Fire Walk With Me , if someone is open to how Lynch's films work, as I would the pilot. If, sure, one or the other between the movie and episode 14 is going to be robbed of some of its impact based on which you start with, I'd rather it be t...

Re: The visual aesthetic of the new Twin Peaks
Yeah, when it comes down to it, I think the source of my mixed feelings about the show are that it just doesn't look that great most of the time. My gripes with certain stories and scenes would probably not be much of an issue if it looked better. There are many exceptions - Part 8 looks fabulous, a...

Re: Twin Peaks The Return: The Mixed/Moderately Disappointed Thread
I've seen people attacked and torn apart from even suggesting a "fan edit" but The Return really needs one. For me, parts like 15 and 8 are nearly perfect as they are but the rest makes me want to cut them up and shuffle the scenes like a iTunes playlist until I get it right, sorry if tha...
