Re: Twin Peaks retrospective at USC

Goodness. Looks like I'll be getting home around (black as) midnight (on a moonless night). Not complaining!

How were you able to convince Ferrer? I remember you saying that he initially declined.

Here's hoping The Great Went shows up in the end.

Re: unanswered questions / mistakes / etc.

Seeing the Miss Twin Peaks episode yesterday reminded me of something else I've always wondered -- how Audrey got away with just giving a speech and standing in line at the end instead of having to do the Pinkle Shuffle like everyone else.

Re: Twin Peaks retrospective at USC

Announced guests for the FWWM screening include Ronette, Jacques, Leland and James, as well as Bob Engels (as posted above).

Re: unanswered questions / mistakes / etc.

Well done, Arm!

One other thing that I find funny is that in the finale, while the town goes to hell (bank explosion, Miss Twin Peaks public scare aftermath, Ben [fatally?] injured, etc.), Harry's just chilling out in the woods. Shouldn't the sheriff be out there doing, y'know, sheriff stuff?

Re: Twin Peaks retrospective at USC

I, too, would like to voice my appreciation. My initial concerns about the marathon binge-viewings were unfounded, for I'm having a blast -- even after we've entered James/Evelyn/Malcolm subplot hell. (I know Little Nicky isn't very popular either, but to me, all of Dick Tremayne's subplots are lous...

unanswered questions / mistakes / etc.

The USC retrospective (which is my first time watching all the way through in a couple of years) inspired me to post something about "oops" moments in TP, and also list some things that either never get resolved or don't quite make sense. I'm sure there are plenty more, but for starters......

Re: Twin Peaks retrospective at USC

Watching those four episodes back-to-back is intense enough to begin with, but on the big screen? I'm exhausted. What a ride. Another fun panel, but to me, last night's highlights were Josh's props and Paula's photos (which were projected before the screening and during the intermission). I'm not no...

If he's not there this weekend, he's apparently due to attend the FWWM screening in May.

Re: Twin Peaks retrospective at USC

Another interesting Q&A last night with confirmation of what we've known for 20+ years -- ABC didn't have a clue what to do with the show, and Lynch is a weirdo.

Re: Twin Peaks retrospective at USC

Engels didn't seem to speak as much as the cast members, which was both a blessing (it was nice to hear from people you don't usually get to hear from, etc.) and a curse (Engels' unique perspective yields valuable insight, etc.).

Re: Twin Peaks retrospective at USC

Other than Madchen saying that she originally read for the role of Donna, nothing terribly "newsworthy" to report from this panel, but it still was a blast -- even if five episodes in a row is quite a challenge for the non-binger!

Re: Twin Peaks retrospective at USC

99% sure Ontkean was mentioned when they rattled off the list of upcoming attendees during Sunday's intro/welcome. If so, perhaps they're saving him for the Josie death arc, which was the most range he had to show as an actor in the series. (Similarly, I assume they're saving Kyle for the "Wher...
