Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
What you're about to read is probably a very unpopular opinion. These discrepancies are actually pretty infuriating to me. Like - just why ? Why is it necessary to change Vivian's name? Why the hell couldn't Frost - who wrote an episode with her in it - just stick to what already happened in the se...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
So, to the good folks who are readin' this damned thing - where're all the juicy bits, yo??? After all, this is (well, supposed to be, in any case) the SPOILER thread, ya' know ...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18
Italy being Italy, part the second: Milan's self-proclaimed "American Bookstore" didn't order the book. They asked me if I wanted to order it through them but the year is 2016 and Amazon exists, buddy, if I want to scream at delayed packages I can do so from the comfort of my own home. Ou...

Re: Mark Frost & Fire Walk With Me
It's a problem I also have with Lost Highway; Bill Pullman's an alright substitute for Machlachlan (my gut tells me if he and Lynch hadn't fallen out, that he probably would've been playing that role), but I'm really no fan of Balthazar Getty. O.k., it's really off-topic, but since it's been mentio...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
Didn't that very first teaser get dropped around Christmas time last year (December 18th 2015), so, maybe one will get released around the same time this year. Calling that thing a teaser is being EXTREMELY generous ... But then I guess there's no limits to a TP fan's generosity, especially when he...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
Are you sure you even want Season 3 (and 4)? I mean, since it apparently is dealing with Laura Palmer's death 'n' all- and we already had two seasons' and a movie's worth of that. Just sayin'...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
Yup, TP definitely deserves a spectacular ending, but the time for that most definitely isn't now . Given that it's been (unjustly) off the air for 25 years, I feel like there wouldn't be anything wrong if this time it stays on it for 25 :) O.k., that may be stretchin' it a bit, but, truly, a few se...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
My two cents regarding the recent book-related revelations (if we can indeed call them that, you never know with TP): - Like I've written on another thread, I'm absolutely delighted that Forster aparently isn't Harry S. Truman, in no small part because that allows for possibility we might be actuall...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
... we've heard there is very minimal material post-series. But we shall see! But have we really heard that? My sense is that all we've got is rumors claiming that, and rumors claiming the opposite. But as you say, we'll find out soon enough! Officially, the synopsises have been contradictory on th...

And, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who got annoyed how heavily they leaned on Twin Peaks imagery, given the circumstance (the show coming back next year). Everyone was acting like I was crazy for thinking it was a bit manipulative and how I should just be excited for anything Lynch does. Pff...

Well. That was one big wad of NOTHING. Again. Someone must really think there's no limits to a TP fan's patience. While he might even be right, I find this kind of "marketing" to be in poor taste. Not to mention all this endless cockteasing. Stop jerking around, Mr. Lynch, and give us some...

Re: What is the audience?
They're trying to do a little more TP and end it their way. Oh, no, not the "Swan Song Theory" again ... Other than that, congrats to everyone on this thread for making really interesting contributions/contemplations as to how a "new" TP audience may look. I particularly like th...

I'm quivering at the mere thought of what could be your idea of a "scary", man ...Dead Dog wrote: As far as Frank Silva goes, I enjoyed his performance. Not particularly scary, but effective in it's presentation of base, animal urges.
