Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Wasn't there an article where Laura Dern mentioned that David wanted her to shave her head for his next role for her? That has to be related to this.
There was, but I can't remember if that was before or after the Return.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I'm glad people are finally posting! I don't want to be such a downer , but I don't think that there's any chance that this project is Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks jumping to Netflix is highly unlikely. It really makes no sense. Then there was this from Lynch himself: Vulture - June 25, 2018 http://www.vu...

Re: The Straight Story

Apparently Alvin Straight, by way of Lynch’s film, was the unlikely influence for a reality show: https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-a ... grass-race
That's unexpected. Equally unexpected is the director's name, Cosmos Kiindarius.

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

So, I guess the Wikipedia front page is doing more active Twin Peaks posting than this board is right now.

Re: Twin peaks: Nostalgia Fanedit

I couldn't imagine watching S3 again but now I really want to see this! I'd like to just see a sample. A couple of scenes or a trailer, just out of curiosity to check out the color grading and so on, and the use of music. I don't think I could commit to watching that many hours of Lynch work that's...

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

The official (non-Lynch) video for that song was always voted sexiest video of all time and whatnot. I never considered that it might be only after Wild at Heart that it really caught fire, as you say. Pretty strange indeed, since the song is so good, but it was probably a simple matter of getting ...

Re: The Third Day

Oh, that’s great to know! That was possibly my favorite scene in the entire thing. Do you have a link to the interview?
Here it is!
(This interview is 100% Autumn spoilers.)

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

Happy Halloween, and happy first of November. Very glad the site's back. When I first saw that it had exceeded its bandwidth, I momentarily hoped that it was because there was some big news, but sadly that was not the case. A random somewhat Twin Peaks related item was Lynch giving a weather report ...

Re: The Third Day

Autumn spoiler: One interesting thing I read was that Law didn't know about all of the things that he'd be doing in Autumn. Obviously he had to get cleared/insured for some of them, but not all. This was in a post-Autumn interview that I saw, but I didn't mention it because I didn't want to ruin any...

Re: The Third Day

Why on Earth did they need to kill Jason’s son if Nathan was actually dead? They had their fall guy in Goltan, who actually killed Nathan and turned himself in. Why throw Nathan’s body in the water and murder another child to create a decoy corpse for absolutely no reason? I guess this is an argume...

Re: The Third Day

Well, Autumn ends with some very heavy-handed symbolism, where Sam literally throws aside the hopes and dreams of his people in order to prioritize bonding with fake Nathan, and the hopes and dreams of the people then burn up. It’s not really clear how or why the cage of hopes catches fire though, ...

Re: The Third Day

Even putting aside the narrative issues, Winter simply lacked the flare of Summer and Autumn. It felt much more like standard television fare. Summer and Autumn can basically stand on their own. Winter feels like someone else came along and decided to create an unnecessary addendum to Summer and Aut...

Re: The Third Day

Some people haven't watched Autumn at all, some have not finished watching Autumn, and some haven’t watched Winter. For this reason it would probably be good to spoiler tag anything from Autumn or Winter. This clusterfuck of a spoiler situation is one of the reasons that I didn’t make this thread my...

Some thoughts on the finale:
Would I be correct in thinking that you didn't watch the 12-hour special?

Re: The Third Day

Spoilers for the 12-hour special, up to hour eight or so. Speaking of that platform sequence, what breathtaking scenery and framing. It looks like Law did that fall himself? I assume his insurance carrier dropped him when he took this project. With the real Jude Law performing the actual toils...
