Re: Major Briggs (Spoilers)
We really need to start a discussion about the creation of Dougie and the specifics of the Doppelganger's plan, along with the ways in which Mike worked to thwart him. Good, Lynch and Frost would like to get to know that. It's entertaining how butthurt you are about The Return, but even more entert...

Re: Major Briggs (Spoilers)
How did Dougie's ring get in his stomache? This is hard or impossible to really answer, but since Dougie's ring belongs on Dougie's finger, and the only thing we ever saw him wear there was the Owl Cave Ring, it is absolutely clear there is a connection between the two. Extrapolating loosely, I ten...

Re: Major Briggs (Spoilers)
Hastings mentions Briggs using the word HIBERNATING to explain his state of being. could it be then that Briggs has found a way to hide in a "place" where time is not linear or doesn't at all work like our time? Perhaps he's been hiding in The Fireman's place (which i take to be The White...

Re: S3: Biggest Disappointment About Unresolved Subplots?
Annie was always kind of a lame character, until David used her so interestingly in Fire Walk With Me. If there's one thing I can't understand, it's people wanting more of her. The obsession on "How's Annie?" as a cliffhanger strikes me as silly, also. It's never been about the actual answ...

Re: Ep 18 - the only time we properly returned to TP - previous 17 episodes all exist in compressed time and space
im standing by my theory, that the first time cooper actually left the red room, or the black lodge, was in episode 18. after he exits glastonbury grove and meets diane. I find this intriguing, mostly because the version of Cooper who appears past this point more closely resembles the darker, "...

Re: Poll: Would you like to see a 4th season happen? (SPOILERS PERMITTED)
Would have probably leaned toward "no" before Sunday night -- I thought it was extremely unlikely that L/F would have the energy/inclination to do this again and was hoping for a closed ending. After having seen Part 18, my answer is a resounding "yes." I'm happy with what we go...

Re: S3: Biggest Disappointment About Unresolved Subplots?
There's no reason Jerry had to be there for that scene, and certainly no reason we needed to follow his odyssey in the woods leading up to that, unless Richard's (assumed) death is important and required a witness. Moreover, there is no reason Ben needs to hear from Jerry afterward--especially give...

Re: S3: Biggest Disappointment About Unresolved Subplots?
If we take The Return as a single piece of art, and theorize that David and Mark are open to return to this world again, I think they wrote themselves into interesting corners with old characters and new ones alike--leaving many potential storylines to follow up on and resolve. This is the only way ...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
Intrigued by someone's suggestion that Dale never left the Lodge the entire show, until stepping out into Glastonbury Grove to meet Diane. Not sure how viable that could really be, but it's an interesting idea in light of the other things I'm currently turning over in my mind... (Need to rewatch eve...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
Diane's appearance alone at Glastonbury Grove is incredibly interesting to me, too.
Edit: Had forgotten about Cooper's "curtain call" line. But the exclusion of Cole past that point--not to mention everyone else--still seems so strange.

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
Elements I can't stop obsessing on, among MANY others: - Diane seeing a double outside the motel after the 430-mile journey. - Cooper's face superimposed over the proceedings in the sherriff's station for several minutes. And then of course, what he says. - The Arm speculating "Is it the story ...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)
For the Doppelganger to intend that Dale be "trapped" in Dougie's life, he would have to be expecting Dale to come back out of the Black Lodge in the first place. Which he was not. Disagree. If you watch that scene in the car, Mr. C is watching the clock on the dashboard intently, implyin...
