Re: "It Was Red"
calling Susan's husband Smithy is the first thing one would want to avoid doing. It's as dumb as stepping on a burning paper sack someone set on your doorstep. It's like, "Duh ... uh ... I see a guy there and he's in Smithy's house. Hey! He must be Smithy!" Actually it's nothing like that...

Re: MTTH: Buying a watch
No, carl's clearly right: one chooses whether or not to buy a watch. More specifically, English-speaking Lost Girl made the choice and has only herself to blame. She wanted to buy some "good luck" (and for only $25.00!) from a shady character, and she got burned big time.

Re: Scene 35
Unless I missed something, there is no mention of scene 27. For what it's worth, chapter 27 of IE appears to be the one where Nikki gets confused during a scene. As some of you have noticed, breaking IE down into scenes is a difficult and somewhat subjective project. I agree with Berny that chapter ...

Re: L.B.
Ignoring the fact that Smithy is a man's name simply won't do.

Re: "It Was Red"
MichaelPW, That's exactly my point: there is no validity or logic to the claim that Lucas's character during the shed scene is Piotrek. Absolutely nothing points to it. The man's name is Smithy. carl: I'm not convinced that Smithy (or whoever) works for Gordy, at all I'm not either, but I am sure th...

Re: "It Was Red"
If they are the same person, then how and why is one married to Nikki Grace and the other married to Susan Blue?

Re: "It Was Red"
I've never really questioned that it Smithy, and not Piotrek, at the shed. Here is my line of thought: 1) We know that Smithy, and not Piotrek, is the one who went to Poland with Gordy and the circus. So it only makes sense that the man speaking with Gordy in Poland is Smithy, and not Piotrek. 2) Pi...

Re: "It Was Red"
David Lynch also didn't say that anyone played the rabbits, but we know exactly who played them, don't we? In other words, he's not going to spell everything out for us in the credits. It's also worth remembering that we know that Peter Lucas plays a Polish character who gets shot in the head, and y...

Re: Where did the gun come from?
My feeling is that she may be the one who shot and killed her lover in the first place, and the gun she passed on to the old men and Lucas's character is somehow her way of trying to repent for her crime. She is, in effect, giving the gun back to the man she murdered with it. Lost Girl appears as a ...

Re: "It Was Red"
I never suggested that I don't like the rooster; I'm stating that he has no significance. And, once again, Smithy is Susan's husband. He's the character in the scene we're discussing, and he's played by Peter Lucas. Smithy's standing with his son (credited as "Smithy's Son") at the end of ...

Re: Where did the gun come from?
I've always believed that Lost Girl is responsible for the gun. After all, she is the reason the old men are there.

Re: MTTH: Buying a watch
carl,
Who is "Tom Rabbit"?
Btw, the woman climbing the stairs with the screwdriver is definitely Gruszka with her hair in a ponytail. She appears to be murdering the lover/wife of her own lover, the mustached Polish dude played by Peter Lucas.

Re: L.B.
jina, The question was "Who's playing Smithy?" Nikki answers the question a few seconds later: "Piotrek." Smithy is Susan Blue's husband, but only in the alternate reality of Susan's world. Piotrek does not actually play the role of Smithy in OHBT, the film that his wife Nikki is...

Re: "It Was Red"
At the shed: Piotrek walks toward the shed hesitatingly.
The character you're referring to is Smithy, and not Piotrek. Major oversight, here. And I honestly see no relevence to the rooster.

Re: L.B.
The point at which I wonder if it's Smithy or not , and by extension, if it's a scene in IE or OHIBT, is the seance and visit to the shed in Poland looking for the man he works for. 2 points: 1) It does not appear that Smithy is looking for the "man he works for" at the shed - instead, Sm...
