Re: Part 17 - The past dictates the future (SPOILERS)

10 minutes until the beginning of the end!
What a strange and beautiful summer Mark Frost and David Lynch gave me....

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

That Cooper/Janey E/Sonny Jim scene was heartbreakingly beautiful!

The Mitchum Brothers/Cooper/Candy scene was hilarious and beautiful!

Audrey's dance was so strange and beautiful and shocking!

I just... wow!

HOLY FUCK!

That was one of the best hours of television I've ever seen.

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

I don’t know what I’m reaching for here. Just some thoughts. Triggered by this episode in particular. What if the message of “the return” is simply: with all good removed from Cooper, we have “Evil Cooper” and conversely, with all evil removed from Cooper, we have “Dougie”. Both characters seem chi...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

Seeing glimpses of him in his old state of mind does not constitute something like: "we have seen him for the past x number of episodes". Wake up people. Stop accepting whatever is thrown at you. You all know exactly what I mean with my previous statement. Eh, this thread is dedicated for...

Not true: Dale Cooper showed up in Parts 1-3 (though no dialogue in Part 3).
Dale Cooper has been in every single episode. And I'm not talking about the Doppelganger.
Yep. I agree.

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

Question: now that we've been shown pieces of it, is it safe to assume the entire Jeffries scene from the Missing Pieces is relevant/"canon" to the series? If so, shouldn't we be taking "at Judy's, in Seattle" into account when speculating about who Judy might be? I am still hop...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

Another example of trolling the viewer and reminding them they are watching a TV show, from Keith Uhlich's writeup: "Get Gordon Cole," says DeMille, referring to the property master played by an uncredited Bert Moorhouse in Wilder's film, and also, extra-narratively, to Cooper's own boss,...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

It's funny that probably the two most successful actors on the show (Tim Roth & Jennifer Jason Leigh) are the worst. I honestly hate both of them now. I actually really love them now! At first I thought they were just ok. Now though, I almost feel bad about how much I like them (on account of w...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

I'm not gonna lie, it hurts and there was probably nothing that could make it not hurt. Despite this, the entire sequence was incredible. I feel exactly the same way. I loved that whole part but man it was painful knowing who should have/could have been there. Especially if you go back and watch th...

Deep Thought wrote: It was so perfect. What do you say to someone who is dying, or to someone who has lost a loved one? NOTHING. Words are idiotic at that point.
Exactly! Hawk was perfect. That scene was absolutely stunning. I don't think I took a breath during the whole thing.
