About the flash forward theory... forgive me if it's already been brought up but the man from the insurance agency who wants to speak to Sheriff Truman in episode one only makes sense if it's a flash forward... or it was just a device to let us know there are two sherif Trumans... *shrugs* Lucy has...

Re: The music of ep. 8
Forgive me if this is considered sacrilege, but Badalamenti's synths just aren't working for me in this series (particularly in the hit and run and ??????? levitation scenes). What they did with the Penderecki was phenomenal, the 'slow 30s room' if that's what its called was beautiful. Platters lyri...

Dido's mannerisms/facial expressions/affectations reminded me of Eraserhead's Lady in the Radiator- both of which (deliberately, I'd imagine) reminiscent of 1920s cinema

Yeah, I gathered he just had to resist it longer than Dougie. Poor Dougie.Mr. Jackpots wrote: My theory is that the cigarette lighter socket in Mr. C's car was also a potential gateway for Good Coop to pass through. But he was thwarted or went the wrong way.

72 pages in the episode 8 thread and no-one is with me on thinking the frog-moth is the LMFAP/arm? I thought it would be the most common theory!

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
I think the place in/near Twin Peaks with the Farmer was The Farm. When DoppleCooper asked Ray about it, he made it seem like it was a place he hadn't been. Not an exact quote but he basically asked: "Are you heading to the place they call The Farm?" Considering that DoppleCooper picked R...

Re: The music of ep. 8
Worth mentioning that the Penderecki was given a heavy dose of sound design steroids.

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
It's fun to participate in the show as an event as it runs, through sharing interpretations and speculation. The problem is, the mythology can sound really corny (no pun intended) when it's written down and stripped of the magic of its abstract presentation.

Re: What we learned about the Twin Peaks mythology in part 8 (SPOILERS)
I'm guessing one of those Woodsman is Mike/the Arm/MfAP). I posted this in the episode mega thread, but I feel pretty sure the bug is the first stage of the MfAP/arm/tree/whatever's evolution. Listen to the sounds! Just before it climbs into its host's mouth (aided by the woodsman's radio skillz) i...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)
A friend of mine just tweeted "Gordon calling Diane a 'tough cookie' was sexist and condescending, like this whole S3 so far". I don't get it. I always thought 'tough cookie' meant she's 'tough to handle', has a 'strong personality', things like that. Am I missing something? As much as I ...
