What I dread is that either the real Cooper is dead and that the series is his journey of acceptance of that, a la"LOST" or "Jacob's Ladder". That, or the series is Cooper's journey from the black lodge to the white.

Problem I have with body being Major Briggs and Betty Briggs being Hastings' assistant: The body and Hastings are in South Dakota. How or why would Maj. and Mrs Briggs be in South Dakota? If they are there, why is Bobby still in Twin Peaks?

I don't think Bad Coop was actually talking with Jeffries. He thought he was at first, but then realizes it's someone else but doesn't know who.
