Re: Has there been an email campaign to Criterion about FWWM?

I like it, Dugpa.

But... I don't know where to go from here. Who do we contact? Who do we talk to?

Re: Has there been an email campaign to Criterion about FWWM?

Wait, Wait, Mr Neff, that's great advice; do you mind helping us with one more step on that road:

What do we need to do to help Mr Lynch get those rights? Who do we contact?

(I feel like Cooper asking the Giant for help now!)

Re: Has there been an email campaign to Criterion about FWWM?

my 2 cents: I've e-mailed Criterion with a number of suggestions over the years, and always got the same "go climb your thumb" reply. Has anyone ever gotten anything other from them? It's a shame, as I know a few people who work for Criterion/Janus, and they're all good people - I'm guessi...

Re: Order the new Lynch Book "Beautiful Dark"

The book is AWESOME. I've been a Lynch fan for a long time and have read every other book (and article, etc) that I could get my hands on, and to Greg Olson's credit, this book doesn't rehash the same old stories; even when there is a repeat of an old story, it's told in a new way. Fantastic book th...

Here's the other one I got for me - and I got one signed to a friend and sent it to him at Christmas.

Fun!

Ok - I totally mis-remembered! She's holding the scissors, not him, and she signed it a little differently, but here it is.

Re: Nike to Release Twin Peaks Inspired Shoes

It crossed my mind... but I was really excited to get the shoe, and he was really excited to be telling me that (wrong) information, so I let the moment go...

Really? BOB had taken me over. But when BOB takes me, I don't kill, I just let misinformation continue to exist.

Oh, BOB... you scamp!

Unproduced Official Merch

Sorry if this has been covered, but... My new Twin Peaks Nikes (Not really "official", though, right?) got me nostalgic for the days when you could march into stores and buy Twin Peaks stuff - there were the three official books, at least two major unofficial books (at the time and more si...

Gojikranz - I started a thread a while back theorizing about the same things - I think I called it something like "What's next?" or something - see what I wrote and how it compares to your ideas and comment!

Re: Things I wish we'd seen...

I agree with the many calls for more of the Hayward girls. I would prefer, in retrospect, having seen the whole thing play out - a LOT more Black Lodge stuff. As the show aired, it seemed to be a cop-y soap - very Lynch, but fairly rooted in reality, dreams and odd-balls aside. In retrospect, now th...

Re: Nike to Release Twin Peaks Inspired Shoes

Ok, so... odd turn of events... the store that said they'd hold a pair for me sold out right away and couldn't, so I figured - "Eh, I saved $130 - no biggie". Then, this evening, I was out on a date and we were walking in the downtown area of the city I live in and I saw a store with a dis...

Re: Nike to Release Twin Peaks Inspired Shoes

Since I've been traveling, I haven't had time to update - but I found a skate shop near my home that was going to get them - they even had a sample pair in stock - they agreed to put a pair on hold for me when they came in, which should be this week. The trick, if you don't want to order from the UK...

Re: Nike to Release Twin Peaks Inspired Shoes

So, being a David Lynch fan, I love a good mystery... I followed some of the links and made it to a Nike site, where they noted that these shoes are sold at specific skate shops (er, this may've been common knowledge, but the SB in the title of the shoe? "Skate Board".) - and Nike provides...

So far, so good, but you're right - it is long; it will take a while to digest and post a thoughfull reply.

I imagine you'll get a few in a while.
