Re: February 24th 1989 - February 24th 2009
I'm sure you guys would be more tolerant of my Region 2 copy being faster. Be cool to do the show exactly as it was aired, see how the season two hiatus played... and watch the last two episodes as broadcast.

Re: What Scenes take you out of the moment or make you cringe?
leo could have even woken up earlier and played a bigger part in the show. ack. the whole mystery of who shot cooper was completely squandered as well. its basically forgotten aside from a couple of "how ya doin coops?" after ten minutes. could also have been used to delay the unmasking o...

Re: What Scenes take you out of the moment or make you cringe?
Great selection, Charles. (Though I've found the Lana bit funnier on re-watch). To be different though... what about Donna in glasses trying to be seductive to James "through the bars" in the second season premiere? That scene seems to go on forever, I liked Lara Flynn Boyle in the ...

I'm well up for hanging in the chatroom with peeps! I had one of these co-ordinated chat sessions with a DVD viewing before elsewhere. Can wreck people's heads with the different DVD speeds in the other Regions mind. "Here it comes... 'she's deeeead, wrapped in plastic!" "Gerry,...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
She really is something, isn't she? I remember reading an interview saying she was wrong not to take decent roles during the 90s after Peaks' success. A real shame.

Found some of these scans I've definitely never seen before. (Though the red dress one is familiar). Particularly love the last one. Re: Official Season Two/Gold Box release in UK/Ireland Thread
If I recall the newly packaged season one set was distributed by CBS DVD, the Universal logo was (and is) no longer there.

Listing on the HMV site (with graphic) - no release date, but I think that much bodes well:

Re: Things I wish we'd seen...
- Meet Mike's friend, Bob Lydecker. - More use of Sheryl Lee as much as possible, (the supposed redhead in season three)? It's often a weary internalized argument whether her or Fenn was the best actress the show (and hence, movie) had. - More with Sylvia and Johnny Horne. Or at least a reasonable e...

Re: STILL waiting for official season two release in UK\Ireland
This morning as I was battling my way through crowds of Christmas shoppers in HMV I came across a small mountain of reissued season one box sets. It's now packaged like the US season two set (three thin cases in a slipcase) and a CBS DVD logo has been added to the packaging. Since there was no ment...

Re: The Cooper Tapes - extended
Shame about the jump from liking Audrey to Annie, and if I'm not mistaken, there's no reference to Diane how Laura's murder investigation was wrapped up. If you want to put a bookend to it, how about have a quick "*click*... how's Annie...(cackle)*click*" as if the possessed Cooper is mess...

A new French boxset? Could this mean a release for the UK and Ireland soon? Am I ever going to let this go?

Niiiice! It's always interesting reading these magazine tidbits years later in hindsight. I keep seeing Desire and Hell at the Sunset Motel for cheap on Amazon, but not even my love for Fenn is enough to make me purchase just yet. (As cool as it is seeing the Twin Peaks leading players in random stu...

Re: Doctor Who
Hey Gerry, I didn't know that Sarah Jane got her own spin-off! What's the name of it? My favorite doctor was Sylvester McCoy. McCoy is definitely underrated. Of The Sarah Jane Adventures , I haven't seen every episode but I liked what I saw: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0862620/ Apparently Nicholas ...

Re: Doctor Who
One of my favourite shows, particularly the classic era. (Tom Baker is fantastic in the role). I don't have the same level of love for the new stuff, but a lot of the callbacks to the show icons and continuity have been huge highlights. Who knew Sarah Jane would ever get her own spin-off? It's great...
