The DeepDiscount.com sale is now on!

Looks like the Lime Green dvd set will be $90 now.

Pre-orders are NOT included. Just order it the day it's released.

The sale is running now through the 23rd - 25% off this time around. Codes include DVDTALK, USATODAY and NYTIMES. Note: codes are one use only, there's usually over a dozen other codes so don't panic if you find more you want to buy later.

*Update* I just placed an order and the code NYTIMES is working. 25% off their already discounted price. Not too bad.

It seems that they are doing it on purpose, for not coinciding with the DD sale!
Your best option is buying it from DVDPlanet. It costs about 90$ shipped to the US (standard shipping) using the discount code 25offsale and 107$ shipped to Europe.
The weird thing is that the discount code works only on this site for pre-orders and not on Deep Discount (the two sites are affiliated).
I don't think that you have to worry about import taxes when ordering from DVDPlanet, but maybe i am wrong.
Even if Deep Discount extends its sale period, you won't have a better deal and when this bargain ends your best chance will be DVDPacific.

dugpa, do you know what's the reason for the delay is?
I hope this doesn't mean they'll delay it one more week, then one more month, a year (okay maybe not that long), etc.

To Pete Martell: Thanks for letting us know about the good offer at dvdplanet. Though I had some good news about the set arriving in my country at November the 18th, the US delay will probably cause a much longer delay as Europe is concerned.

Best Price Info for the David Lynch Lime Green Box Set

Postby dugpa » Wed Nov 12, 2008 9:40 pm

All,

I've set up this thread so people can post details on where you can get the best deal on the upcoming David Lynch Lime Green Box Set which is currently set to Street on November 25th, 2008. I'll be moving the old threads that have to do with pricing and availability here.

Also, please use this thread to post details on what local stores are carrying the box set for those that are looking to pick up a copy on the street date.

We'll keep the other thread open for discussion on the contents of the new Box Set. Hopefully it will make things easier for everyone to find the info they need without going through pages of info.

Thanks!

I'm waiting to hear back. Hopefully it won't go past the 25th.

I've been dealing with DVD Planet for years and have never had an issue, either with shipping, or in quality.

Great to hear it. I just switched my own order from Amazon to DVDPlanet. Mine came out to $97.08 with Standard Shipping and sales tax.

Do you get an automatic email confirmation from DVD Planet? Just ordered but no email as I'd expect. Is email sent when item sent?

I pre-ordered The Lime Green Set a while ago on dvdpacific for 109 $ (including S/H to France). As it's about the same as dvdplanet, I think I'm going to stick to dvdpacific since their service has always been top-notch.

Dugpa,is the sales tax only for California or for all the US?
I think that DVDPacific have lower shipping charges than DVDPlanet, but not lower item prices generally.I am very pleased with DVDPlanet,it's the best shop for Criterion titles.

Thanks for the ordering info! Just wanted to say the "25offsale" discount worked for me. Ordered about an hour ago= $87.73 plus ship.
The bad news is, it's now out of stock there, so I'll have to wait for mine.
