I'm wondering if DeepDiscount.com is going to carry this set. The box should street around the time of their extra 20% off sale. This means it should be 50% off total (w/ free ship) The catch is, you cannot pre-order and must have a coupon code (I will post). I'll keep an eye on this and report back. I will buy it for half off.

I found a place through the Shopping search at Google that is selling the set for $93.99 right now. After I set the shipping options, the total price was about $101. I honestly would have preferred to buy from Amazon since they are a company that I know I can trust, but I thought the hefty savings would make it worth the risk.

Isn't fetchadisc operating on Ebay too? From the trusted sellers DVDplanet is the cheapest right now,111$ using a discount code.Although, you may prefer to wait for the Deepdiscount sale,as Jerry Horne has mentioned.Although,i hope that they don't rise the price to 150$ and then throw the 20% discount in.

Their annual 20% off sale should start sometime in the next two weeks or so. I will post the coupon codes soon. You cannot pre-order items. So, you just order it the day the Lime box streets. Stay tuned to this thread.

Just checked my local dvd-stores and they even get the set in region 1 at the US release date... It will be much MORE expensive to buy it here than importing it by myself from the US, though. One of the clerks suggested about under 2000 NOK which is almost 300 US $. The cheapest is 1149 NOK. Unbelievable... It will be better to buy it from the US myself.

Also while searching, I found a new Nordic dvd-release of Lost Highway which was released today:

I like the coverart, but I don't think I'm going to buy it... Can't see what's new to this one.

I wouldn't trust Deep Discount or Amazon to deliver it until well into December. I'll just go with my local shop. Bizarrely, the only one of these I actually own is Wild at Heart (standard R2) - I've seen most in theatres and some on borrowed DVDs - so for me 1150 isn't too crazy for a ten-disc release. The price is only way too high if you own a lot of it beforehand (which most people here do, I guess).

Which local shop was it that is going to stock it on the American release date?

Yeah, I have an old VHS PAL of Blue Velvet (got it from my English teacher for free, so no loss of money there), region 2 releases of Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, the uncensored version of Wild at Heart) + the Lynch approved releases in region 1. So I've double-dipped, too, but I don't care to complain and I will certainly not sell them. I don't think that will bring much money back, and for me they bring back good memories from my movie collection.

Platekompaniet is holding the set on the US release date... You may want to check out this link:

http://www.platekompaniet.no/dvdproduct ... =ABSU22DVD

The clerk at Playcom DVDin (I don't know if you're familiar with the store) told me that the set probably would cost about 2000 NOK. I guess that means he's not really sure - I don't think he'd even heard of the set before I asked him the question -, and that they will not stock it until waaay after the original release date. The best deal for (us Norwegians) now is probably to buy it from Platekompaniet.
