TM benefit concert in New York

Post by Leen »

Not sure if anyone has posted this yet... There is a concert to raise funds for the David Lynch Foundation being held in New York on 4 April. This is the official announcement on the Foundation website:
http://www.davidlynchfoundation.org/concert.html

and here is a more general article about this, and about Lynch's forthcoming documentary, from the front page of today's Guardian (UK):

Yup. Tried to get tickets to this via Ticketmaster. Was there at the first second (apparently just like everyone else). No tickets available to me at any price.

So it goes.

I want to see video with the opening of the benefit concert where Angelo Badalamenti has played on the piano, but I can't find it. Can anyone post a link?

Annie, we weren't able to webcast the actual concert because of issues with music rights, but we'll get parts of it up soon and it will air on PBS. You can however view the pre-concert backstage interviews with Shepard Fairey, David, Moby, Ben Harper, Jim James, Sheryl Crow, Ringo, Moby & Laura Dawn, and Paul McCartney. They're at http://dlf.tv

I've seen a lot of youtube videos floating around but nothing with Badalamenti. One of my favorite performances of the night was Ben Harper and Eddie Vedder covering "Under Pressure" which is up at

Sorry it's probably my own fault because I'm too dumb to find them but where exactly are the pre-concert interviews ? I mean under what section can I find these interviews ?

No worries, it's not totally obvious. They will eventually be moved to their own channel, but for now you can find them right on the home page. Just click on the big picture of David with

or go to
