You can download this album from NPR's site "only for later listening" with this link...:

OMG! I just saw this! I was going to order the whole thing; I can't believe there are legal issues with getting the album now.

Wow thats pretty odd about the legal stuff holding up the CD. I guess this is why it was originally announced as only being available with the book- and now EMI wont even allow it released with a limited book!
Hopefully somewhere down the line it will be able to get a proper release...

Damn hippies!
Can't it be because of that thing when someone published all the tracks in web?

Jeez, at least $35 shipping cost to the Netherlands. Amazon it is.
If I understand correctly there will be 5000 books made, all with a cdr, signed, distributed on the official website, Amazon etc., but only the ofiicial website contains the poster?

I was amazed as well- they were good quality mp3's as well. They have updated the above page to now say they 'inadvertantly' put the album up and it 'wont happen again'
Guess they have realised it was pretty easy to copy the stream, and now the albums all over the usual file sharing sites. Bet someone at the record company is getting an earbashing!
Link or site please, I can't seem to find them

Looks like it's still streaming at NPR.

The stream I'm aware of, I don't see any mp3 in my browsers cache though.

The MP3's were only on the first chrysalis music blog preview which lasted 24 hours. These were easily ripable and are now floating around a lot of the usual file sharing sites/ music blogs etc...

Problem is it seems I'm looking in the wrong sites then, any help?

I got tired of searching and googling trying to find all the tracks. Just ripped the NPR streams myself. They sound decent enough.

More ongoing ridiculousness from EMI.

This short clip didn't even involve music from the album.
How about an explanation EMI?

So did everybody finally get to download this? I'm having a great time with it. Of course, if it is ever officially available, I'd buy it. But I think it's pretty nice that nobody gave NPR a hard time about the downloads (that we know of.)

I remember reading quite a while ago that David's new thing would be singing. My favorite song is "Star Eyes." Why does it say, "featuring James Mercer" instead of featuring David Lynch?
