Lynch to direct third installment of Christian Dior ads
Well, he's certainly no stranger to commercials.
It's scheduled to debut online May 15.

The "movie" in better definition and more can be see here :

(I'm disappointed, Marion Cotillard plays really really badly and the 'mise en scène' is so-so)

I liked it..some classic Lynch going on! Dune-like, too Fun piece.
He did a lot of jobs on this one, which is probably why his "vibe" comes through so strong as a filmmaker.
The behind the scenes video is disappointing, as there is barely any Lynch in it!

David Lynch is the new Woody Allen. To me, he has completely lost his touch. Like post-Husbands and Wives Allen, he's consistently delivering bad art that's relevant to no one and nothing but himself. Sad and disappointing. Why does this seem to happen with every great, aging director? Bergman, Hitchcock, Polanski, Godard....well, at least Lynch is in good company.

Like it.
Something reminds me "Mulholland drive" and the introduction of "Dune" ("A very delicate time"), don't you find ?
But let's wait for the movie...

Re: Lynch to direct third installment of Christian Dior ads
Thank you so much !
Love the first part and its strange and dark atmosphere.
I'm just a bit embarassed with the ... handbag advertisement...
All this energy, all this talent... for an ad.
Do you see what I mean ? What is your feeling ?
Something makes me think to the photographer, Erwin Olaf. Very interesting one.
He recently made a great exhibition called "Rain, hope, grief and fall", pictures and movies.
I did not find the movies but you can have a look to the pictures here :

Some extracts of the movies :

Re: Lynch to direct third installment of Christian Dior ads
Perhaps this is a sequel to Mulholland Drive, after all - "The Return Of Rita's Handbag"?
Product placement aside - anyone know any technical details (what it was captured on, etc?) It looks flat and video-like - like IE... Which is a pretty surprising style for a commercial.
It makes me hope that if there is a new Lynch feature in the pipeline, it's shot on film, or at least aspires to film-like aesthetics.
