Urban Dictionary:
"If you visit band or lyrics websites, you may often see extra tracks in discographies described as being 'Japanese bonus tracks'. This is in part due to CD prices in Japan. To stop shops from buying cheap from abroad, the Japanese version may include an extra song."
Still a pain in the arse though.

In digital era, I do not think it would still make sense.
In Poland CD prices (compared to earnings) are very high, but we don't get any bonus tracks (instead lately some CDs have cheapest versions without booklet...).

Anyone taken delivery of the deluxe edition today?
Been waiting to listen to the album until this came out - hugely disappointed.
Vastly overpriced - probably by 100%
Whoever designed the packaging is frankly an idiot:
- no protection for the vinyl - it's just bunged into the cardboard sleeves (can't afford an inner sleeve at the price?!?!?)
- dust magnet of an outer case
- and worse of all the limited edition number (about the only reason to buy it at this inflated price is as a collectors item) is only to be found on a sticker stuck onto the cellophane wrap when it first arrives - that presumably is supposed to be discarded.
Compare to the price of, for example the Achtung Baby re-issue - also about £75 when it first came out - 72 tracks, 6 CD's, 4 DVD's, hardback book, 6 prints. Feeling very short changed.

I even like the strange and unproductive thinking. Knowledge of blues music is not hot, but I sound like Lynch really carved their own niche here.
